DFS Madness’s Draftkings NBA Core 4 – Dec. 3rd, 2019

Welcome to the Core 4! My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the article throughout the day as news breaks. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Purpose of the Core 4: These four players are guys that I want to lock into my cash game lineups and if doing multi-entry, using the Domination Station lock them in or set high exposure percentages to them. These are players that I see as underpriced, in great matchups, in play because of injuries, increased usage, etc. I also need to mention that these plays are normally geared toward Draftkings pricing and scoring, I’m not a huge fan of NBA for Fanduel, so if you see my list has three small forwards or two centers, etc. it’s because of the multi-position eligibility on Draftkings. With that said, let’s jump right into it!

Before I get started, make sure to check out the latest new DFS website. SuperDraft is an innovative new DFS site that does not have salaries but instead uses a multiplier system and better yet, THEY HAVE LATE SWAP! Check out more on how it works below!

Kristaps Porzingis (PF/C) – $6,500

The Unicorn! I haven’t played a whole lot of Zinger this season, but this is it, this is the spot! The Mavericks travel to New Orleans to face the Pelicans in a game that features a slate high 233 implied game total. The Pelicans have struggled with opposing big men all season long and are currently 28th in the league in defending big men on the season. All that said, he is also far too cheap, he has seen his price dip all the way to $6.5k which is just too low for the production that he spits out. He’s averaging 37 Draftkings points per game on the season to go along with a 43.5 Draftkings day against this team earlier this season. I will be all over Porzingis here.

Kendrick Nunn (PG/SG) – $4,900

I haven’t seen a whole lot in the industry about Nunn so far this morning, but I absolutely love him, particularly for GPPs. Goran Dragic got banged up on Sunday and is expected to miss a few games which will open up usage and minutes in that Miami backcourt. With Dragic off the court, this season Nunn has a 26.1% usage rate and 1.01 fantasy points per minute. At that kind of production he’s way too cheap at just $4.9k, I like him quite a bit even in a tougher matchup.

Rui Hachimura (PF/C) – $5,200

Kendrick Nunn is still a great play and still a guy I will have a lot of but Rui is basically a lock for me now with Bryant and Wagner out he will soak up as many minutes as he can handle in this one. Doesn’t hurt that he’s coming off a huge game, short and sweet on this one.

Lonzo Ball (PG) – $5,400

I like the idea of running Kristaps back with Lonzo on the other side of this game. As I mentioned, this game has a slate high 233 implied game total, so there will be DFS points scored. The big thing that gets me on Lonzo here is that Kenrich Williams has already been ruled out which will likely mean another start for Mr. Ball here. With Kenrich out last game, Lonzo started and played 33 minutes on his way to 31.5 Draftkings points. The Mavericks also struggle with opposing point guards, ranking 26th in the league on the season. Not to mention he’s far too cheap for the role he should play in this game. He has triple-double upside every time he steps on the court, I love some Lonzo Ball here.

Luka Doncic (PG/SF) – $11,300

Alright, so we have the money to make this one work and it looks like we’re going to get us a little game stack with Luka and Porzings on one side and Lonzo on the other. I love this spot for Luka and am willing to pay up for him here. The Pelicans rank 20th in defense against opposing guards and Doncic is just crushing right now. He has 70+ Draftkings points in two of his last three games and put up 61 Draftkings points against this team earlier this season. It’s tough to pass on Luka tonight, I love him here. (Giannis is still the better real-life basketball player, I’ll be happy to discuss, hop in my Twitter mentions). All that said, with these four guys in your lineup it leaves you with $5,475 per player to finish up your lineup which is very do-able.

*** I want to make a quick caveat, the Core 4 is a first look core, things tend to change throughout the day in the NBA. I will update the core if I am able or if need be. At the very least I will make it known in the slack chat! ***
