DFS Madness’s Draftkings NBA Core 4 – Dec. 2nd, 2019

Welcome to the Core 4! My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the article throughout the day as news breaks. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Purpose of the Core 4: These four players are guys that I want to lock into my cash game lineups and if doing multi-entry, using the Domination Station lock them in or set high exposure percentages to them. These are players that I see as underpriced, in great matchups, in play because of injuries, increased usage, etc. I also need to mention that these plays are normally geared toward Draftkings pricing and scoring, I’m not a huge fan of NBA for Fanduel, so if you see my list has three small forwards or two centers, etc. it’s because of the multi-position eligibility on Draftkings. With that said, let’s jump right into it!

Before I get started, make sure to check out the latest new DFS website. SuperDraft is an innovative new DFS site that does not have salaries but instead uses a multiplier system and better yet, THEY HAVE LATE SWAP! Check out more on how it works below!

Ky Bowman (PG) – $5,100

The Warriors will travel to Atlanta and matchup against the Hawks in a game that features a 222 implied total. The big reason why I love Bowman here is that I would expect him to jump back into the starting lineup with Draymond Green expected to rest this game. In the last three games that Green missed, Bowman went for 40+ Draftkings points in two of those three. I just think the price is too cheap here and the Hawks have been one of the worst teams in the league against opposing point guards. Give me all the Bowman here.

Robin Lopez (C) – $4,400

I’m going right back to the Robin Lopez train here. His brother, Brook, is expected to miss this game after missing their previous game as well. Robin started in that matchup against the Hornets and played 24 minutes on his way to 33 Draftkings points. Draftkings did give him a price bump which was to be expected and will cut down on the ownership on him. I would expect he draws the start again here and should see similar success against a Knicks team that struggles on defense against all positions, his price still feels too cheap for his starting role.

Dennis Smith Jr. (PG) – $3,200

This spot was Robin Lopez, who is still a great play, but I like the price discount on DSJ with Elfrid Payton ruled out and Frank Ntilikina questionable. He has legit 10x upside at this price tag and actually just did so in his last game where he scored 32.8 Draftkings points in 38 minutes of play. I like the price here and making a Knicks player a core always makes me hesitant, but tough to pass up here.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (SF/PF) – $12,000

I’m just going to lock in the raw points here with Giannis against a bad Knicks team. He is one of three players over $10k on this slate, but also the most efficient and consistent of them. Giannis is coming off a “dud” game in which he scored 45 Draftkings points in just 20 minutes. He played just 20 minutes because they were dismantling the Hornets, so we can expect him to be well-rested for this one. He’s averaging just over 60 Draftkings points per game on the season and has a usage rate of over 35%. We can throw the 5x, 6x multiplier stuff out the window with him on this slate because I think the value is there to get him and just lock in those points.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (SG/SF) – $6,200

First things first, make sure you’re playing the correct B. Bogdanovic! Even though Bojan is a great play too, we want to make sure we got the right guys here. Bogdan gets a matchup with a Bulls team that doesn’t play a whole lot of defense and shouldn’t have any trouble doing what he wants here. With Fox and Bagley off the court this season he has a 28.5% usage rate to go along with 1.16 fantasy points per minute. This price is simply too cheap for that kind of production which is why he is a core for me. Load up on Bogdanovic in hopes that that “Q” next to his name keeps ownership down as well.
