Welcome to the Core 4! My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the article throughout the day as news breaks. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!
Purpose of the Core 4: These four players are guys that I want to lock into my cash game lineups and if doing multi-entry, using the Domination Station lock them in or set high exposure percentages to them. These are players that I see as underpriced, in great matchups, in play because of injuries, increased usage, etc. I also need to mention that these plays are normally geared toward Draftkings pricing and scoring, I’m not a huge fan of NBA for Fanduel, so if you see my list has three small forwards or two centers, etc. it’s because of the multi-position eligibility on Draftkings. With that said, let’s jump right into it!

Giannis Antetokounmpo (SF/PF) – $11,300
This Los Angeles/Milwaukee game is going to be a lot of fun as we could see a potential finals preview. I would expect this game to be close and I want all the Giannis I can get in games that are going to be close. He has seen his minutes cut lately because they have been blowing teams out of the water. He should see his full compliment of minutes here. In the past four games that he has gotten at least 30 minutes, he is averaging 65.18 fantasy points per game. Not to mention with Eric Bledsoe off the court Giannis has a 41.3% usage rate and 1.98 fantasy points per minute. I want to get a good deal of this game and I will start it with my man Giannis.
Lou Williams (PG/SG) – $5,900
This is the other game that I will have a lot of interest in, as the Rockets will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers. This game has a massive 233 implied total which is the current high on the slate (we don’t have Milwaukee/LAL’s yet). That said, this is mostly a price play for me, Sweet Lou feels way too cheap here. In two matchups against the Rockets this season he is averaging 38 Draftkings points per game. He has a 28% usage rate and 1.10 fantasy points per minute on the season, give me a good amount of the 6th man on tonight’s slate.

Brook Lopez (C) – $4,200
As I mentioned with Giannis, this is a game that I want to target here due to the close spread, which the Bucks don’t normally see much of. The Bucks will need Lopez’s size in this one to help combat Anthony Davis and company down low. Not to mention that his price tag feels way too cheap here. He’s not shooting well, I’ll tell you that much, he’s a combined 2-12 over his last two games, but he’s too good of a shooter to go cold for too long. With the minutes I think he gets here combined with more potential rebounds being stuck on AD and a shooting percentage that can only go up, I like Brolo a good amount at this price tag.
Clint Capela (C) – $7,600
I hate to play two strict Centers in my core, but I love this spot for Clint Capela. The one position that the Clippers struggle to defend is the center position. Capela should have no issue doing whatever he likes down low here. In two matchups with the Clippers this season he is averaging 43.2 Draftkings points per game. He is also playing a ton of minutes, playing 35+ in four of his last five games. In such a high total game I love Capela here and think he can out-produce this price tag.
