Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Full Court Press:

 Denver Nuggets @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 217

Vegas Spread: Den -2.5

This is the lone early game on the slate, so if you’re wanting to play this one it will have to be on a showdown slate. Starting with the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic has a pretty nice matchup against Karl-Anthony Towns who doesn’t play defense very well. He’s also coming off a 57.5 Draftkings outing. Jamal Murray is playing huge minutes and even dropped a 50 burger last time out against Philadelphia, he’s in a great spot as well. Will Barton has scored at least 30 Draftkings points all but one game this season, so you have to like him here. The rest of this team I’m a bit more skeptical on, Paul Millsap is fine but he’s been very volatile this season. The same can be said for Gary Harris. From the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns has cooled off a bit since starting the season on fire. This is a difficult matchup for any big man, so I’m less in love with him than normal, but he’s still an elite talent. Andrew Wiggins is playing great basketball this season and is an elite play in all formats if Jeff Teague ends up sitting again and still a fine play if he’s in. Finally, Robert Covington is a good secondary play as well.

5-star plays: Nikola Jokic (C), Jamal Murray (PG), Karl-Anthony Towns (C), Andrew Wiggins (If Teague sits)

4-star plays: Andrew Wiggins (If Teague is active), Will Barton (SG), Robert Covington (SF)

Deeper Value: Gary Harris (SG)

GPP Sleeper: Paul Millsap (PF)

Indiana Pacers @ Orlando Magic

Vegas Total: 203

Vegas Spread: Orl -3.5

We start the main slate off with a complete snoozer of a game. I won’t have a whole lot of interest in this game simply because of that 203 total, but let’s dig in and see if there is anything we can pull. From the Pacers. Domantas Sabonis is playing nearly 40 minutes per game and has 40+ Draftkings points in all but one game this season, I don’t mind going to him here. Malcolm Brogdon has come back down to Earth after starting the season on a heater. This is not a great matchup but he does have a 26% usage rate on the season and I won’t talk you off of him. Both Jeremy Lamb and Myles Turner are out for this matchup meaning TJ Warren and Aaron Holiday should get some extended run and are solid plays as well. From the Magic, Nikola Vucevic is coming off of two massive games and gets a nice matchup here against the Pacers who will be without Turner. As always, I don’t play Aaron Gordon, he just feels too expensive here. Jonathan Isaac has been crushing it and I wish this game was going to be a bit faster, I won’t talk you off of him if you want to play him. Finally, I will have some Evan Fournier interest if Terrence Ross is out again, although his price has come up.

5-star play: Domantas Sabonis (PF), Nikola Vucevic (C)

4-star play: Malcolm Brogdon (PG), TJ Warren (SF), Aaron Holiday (SG), Jonathan Isaac (PF)

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: TJ Warren (SF), Evan Fournier (SG), Aaron Gordon (PF)

Charlotte Hornets @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total: 215

Vegas Spread: Phi -13.0

Starting with the Hornets, Devonte’ Graham has proved himself as a legit NBA playmaker and needs to be considered here against the Sixers who will be without Ben Simmons. Terry Rozier had a nice bounce-back game last night and has now gone over 30 Draftkings points in four of his last five games and his price has taken a nosedive on Draftkings. Tough not to like him over there. PJ Washington sprained his ankle last night but sounds like he should be good to go tonight, he feels a bit overpriced but makes sense for GPPs. Miles Bridges, on the other hand, makes sense as a cash play due to the floor that he provides. From the Sixers, I may go all-in on Joel Embiid here… this is an incredible spot for him. There isn’t a guy on the Hornets that will be able to slow him down and he has nearly a 38% usage rate with Simmons off the court this season to go along with 1.73 fantasy points per minute. YES PLEASE. Tobias Harris and Al Horford both have solid floors here and are great cash plays. Josh Richardson doesn’t get quite the usage bump that I would like with Simmons off the court and feels a few hundred dollars too expensive. Raul Neto will likely start again for Simmons and makes sense as a cash game guy.

5-star play: Joel Embiid (C), Devonte’ Graham (PG), Terry Rozier (Draftkings only)

4-star play: Miles Bridges (SF), Tobias Harris (PF), Al Horford (PF), Terry Rozier (FanDuel)

Deeper Value: Raul Neto (PG)

GPP Sleeper: Josh Richardson (SF), PJ Washington (C)

Milwaukee Bucks @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Vegas Total: 222.5

Vegas Spread: Mil -7.0

Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is just on a tear this season and looks like he has at least adapted a decent jump shot. He is averaging 63 Draftkings points per game this season to go along with a 33% usage rate. Khris Middleton has scored at least 40 Draftkings points in two of his last three games and gets a nice matchup here. Eric Bledsoe has scored at least 30 Draftkings points in five straight and is really playing good basketball right now. I don’t exactly love a Chris Paul matchup, but I don’t hate him for GPPs. Brook Lopez gets a tough matchup with Steven Adams he’s a GPP only guy for me. George Hill makes sense as a value play as well. From the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander may get some Giannis defense here with a little bit of Eric Bledsoe as well, that said I still think he’s a solid play in what should be a pretty high-tempo game. Chris Paul continues to be in that 35-40 Draftkings point range, he makes sense here as well. Danilo Gallinari will also likely get some Giannis defense, I think he’s overpriced anyway. Steven Adams feels too cheap and Dennis Schroeder is a great GPP play.

5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo (SF), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG)

4-star play: Khris Middleton (SG), Eric Bledsoe (PG), Chris Paul (PG), Steven Adams (C)

Deeper Value: George Hill (PG)

GPP Sleeper: Eric Bledsoe (PG), Brook Lopez (C), Dennis Schroeder (PG)

Cleveland Cavaliers @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 212

Vegas Spread: NYK -2.0

Starting with the Cavs, Kevin Love has seen a dip in fantasy production over the past two games but is still a great play here. He’s got 1.28 fantasy points per minute this season against a Knicks team that plays very little defense. The only other guy on this team I feel comfortable playing in cash is Tristan Thompson who continues to put up double-doubles on a nightly basis. Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson are both GPP plays in a solid matchup. Darius Garland makes sense as a value option and should get the start again. From the Knicks, Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, and Marcus Morris are really the only guys on this team that are getting consistent high minutes. They are all great plays here, although Marcus Morris is priced way up. Mitchell Robinson will be out again for this game which should help solidify minutes for Bobby Portis as well who makes sense as a nice GPP option.

5-star play: Kevin Love (PF), Tristan Thompson (C), Julius Randle (PF)

4-star play: RJ Barrett (SG), Marcus Morris (PF), Bobby Portis (PF)

Deeper Value: Darius Garland (PG)

GPP Sleeper: Collin Sexton (PG), Jordan Clarkson (PG)

Brooklyn Nets @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 232.5

Vegas Spread: Pho -2.5

This game has a massive game total and is one that we will want to look for some fantasy production. Starting with the Nets, Kyrie Irving continues to put up massive games and is now averaging 55.2 Draftkings points per game on the season to go along with a 33% usage rate. This is the type of game where I like targeting Caris LeVert so I’m willing to go there for sure in GPPs and is also in play for cash. DeAndre Jordan is expected back here and with Jarrett Allen priced like he’s still out, he’s a fade. Spencer Dinwiddie is coming off a 50 point Draftkings outing and has a 27% usage rate on the season, I love him here coming off the bench. Lastly, I’m willing to go back to Taurean Prince here after a dud last time out. From the Suns, Devin Booker has a 28% usage rate on the season and gets a great matchup here, he’s a great play. Ricky Rubio gets a great matchup as well with the Suns ranking 28th in defense against opposing point guards. I’m going to continue to stream centers against the Nets here with Aron Baynes who has filled in very nicely for DeAndre Ayton. Kelly Oubre and Dario Saric are both solid GPP plays in this fast-paced game.

5-star play: Kyrie Irving (PG), Devin Booker (SG), Aron Baynes (C)

4-star play: Caris LeVert (SG), Spencer Dinwiddie (PG), Ricky Rubio (PG)

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Taurean Prince (SF), Kelly Oubre (SG), Dario Saric (PF)

Atlanta Hawks @ Portland Trailblazers

Vegas Total: 227.5

Vegas Spread: Por -8.5

Starting with the Hawks, with John Collins off the court this season Trae Young has a 34.4% usage rate and 1.5 fantasy points per minute. This should be a fun one between him and Damian Lillard. Jabari Parker has filled in nicely for Collins, but I just don’t know that I can stomach paying that much for him. That said, he’s a nice play here. The rest of this team is a bit of a crapshoot, Kevin Huerter and DeAndre Bembry both make sense as GPP value. From the Blazers, I love Damian Lillard here, he’s averaging 54 Draftkings points per game this season with a 30% usage rate. Hassan Whiteside is questionable for this game, but if he plays he’s a very solid play. Keep an eye on the status of him going into lock. I rarely play CJ McCollum since he always feels overpriced, but you can go there in GPPs. Mario Hezonja and Anferee Simons make sense as value options as well.

5-star play: Trae Young (PG), Jabari Parker (PF), Damian Lillard (PG)

4-star play: Hassan Whiteside (C)

Deeper Value: Mario Hezonja (PF), Anferee Simons (PG)

GPP Sleeper: Kevin Huerter (SG), CJ McCollum (SG)

Toronto Raptors @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total: 215

Vegas Spread: Lal -9.5

The Raptors come into this game pretty banged up after losing Serge Ibaka and Kyle Lowry to injury. With those two off the court, it is going to be the Pascal Siakam show who is priced probably where he should be over $9k. With those two off the court this season he has a 33% usage rate and 1.5 fantasy points per minute. In a tough matchup against Anthony Davis, he is still an elite play. Fred VanVleet has 1.45 fantasy points per minute with those two off the court this season and his price is too cheap for that type of production. OG Anunoby continues to play well and will have to shoulder more of the load, he’ll likely be tasked with guarding LeBron as well. Marc Gasol just doesn’t produce enough for me to like him here. Lastly, Norman Powell will likely see his minutes extended with Lowry injured. From the Lakers, we know it’s LeBron James and Anthony Davis, trying to decide between the two is nearly impossible, so we’ll call them both elite plays. Really the only other guy I have interest in this team is Dwight Howard who isn’t in the greatest of form.

5-star play: Pascal Siakam (PF), Fred VanVleet (SG), LeBron James (SF), Anthony Davis (PF)

4-star play: OG Anunoby (SF)

Deeper Value: Norman Powell (SG)

GPP Sleeper: Norman Powell (SG), Marc Gasol (C)
