Welcome back to the NFL TOP ONSLAUGHT STACKS article here at DFS Army. Each week I will dive into a few teams that I think will be some of the best stacks of the week. My goal here will be to narrow down the list of teams I feel we can use and gain an edge vs the field in Large Field Tournaments. Lesser versions of these stacks can easily be used in single entry tourneys, small league play, and even hybrid lineups in head-to-head competitions as well. My hope is that we can have the same success here, with the NFL TOP STACKS article, that we had all season in MLB with the MLB TOP STACKS article.

What Is an “Onslaught Stack?”
If you have read our tournament strategy pieces this year, NFL Shark Autopsy Report and NFL Showdown Breakdown, you are already aware that we have reverse-engineered the Milly Maker and many of the single-game Showdowns going back several years in search of winning trends. If you haven’t read these two articles, I highly suggest you check them out.
A few interesting tidbits stood out in our research.
- Game Stacking Mattered – any combination of a QB with his same team, then coupled with a skill player on the opposing team
- Casual Players Don’t Stack Enough – Most of us know about stacking a QB/WR combo, but people still aren’t doing it frequently enough across all entries of tournament play. We still have a leveraged edge by using even a small stack of some sort.
- Secondary Stacks Yield Even Better Finishes – The common combo of QB/WR + Opposing WR can be coupled with a completely different game stack, or secondary stack, from a different game altogether. Perhaps the second game’s RB on the favored team + WR on the underdog. Secondary stacks serve to differentiate your lineup further while still focusing on correlation and leveraging fantasy production.
When it comes to stacking your lineups, we also found a lot of room to exploit the competition by going WAY Overboard. We don’t need to simply use a QB/WR combo + an opposing WR. We can ramp it up more! QB/WR/TE + opposing WR/WR is an example of a 3+2 “onslaught stack.” We can run 4+2, or 2+2, or even 3+1… literally anything that has more than 3 total players from a game can be called an “Onslaught Stack.” And, these onslaughts are proving to capitalize on extreme leverage. The casual and even intermediate player just doesn’t go that overboard in games that will possibly shoot out on both sides. THIS IS OUR EDGE!!! When people back off, we step on the gas!
Caveat – Now, onslaughts still don’t pan out with great frequency. You are simply taking advantage of the times they do pan out. You have the uniqueness and access to the points that drive you well into the top 0.1% of the payouts (where the money starts to happen). The goal is not to finish with a 2x or 3x multiplier to our money. The goal is to finish with 20x or 100x or more. Onslaughts definitely do that for you. But, they still shouldn’t be 50% of what you do in your MME or multi-entering structures. Keep it toned down some. But, plan to use them at least some when opportunity arises.

In the chart above I have eliminated all players with a Protected Market Share of Team Targets under 10%. As a rule of thumb, these will be the only receivers included in my Stack Groups in the NFL Domination Station (more on that at a later date).
Now that we have a solid Macro view of the slate, let’s dive into a couple of teams and discuss our onslaught players.
Giants @ Cardinals – 50.5 total
No secret here if you’ve been following my article all year, you know I like to attack with the Cardinals and whoever is facing the Cardinals each week because of their very pass-happy offense and tempo. This week the Giants come to town and Saquan Barkley is expected to return.
1) ARI4-NYG2
ARI: Murray + Fitzgerald + Kirk + Johnson
NYG bring back with Barkley + Engram
— total cost $41,000
2) NYG4-ARI2
NYG: Jones + Tate + Barkley + Engram
ARI bring back with Fitzgerald + Johnson
— total cost $41,200
These two options don’t leave you much wiggle room as you’re only $9,000 leftover from stack 1 and only $8,800 leftover from stack 2 to fill in 3 remaining spots on your roster. Unless we get some clear cut Extreme Value play that pops up late in the week, I would be cautious of spending this much salary on your stacks.
Two more reasonably priced 6 man game stack options are the ones below
3) AR4-NYG2
ARI: Murray + Fitzgerald + Kirk + Johnson
NYG bring back with Tate + Engram
— total cost $37,900
4) NYG4-AR2
NYG: Jones + Tate + Barkley + Engram
ARI bring back with Fitzgerald + Kirk
— total cost $38,400
These two options are my favorite options in this game. They leave you much more wiggle room, with $12,100 on stack #3 and $11,600 on stack #4. If I decide to go full Yolo 6 man game stack I’ll be using stacks #3 and #4 more frequently than I’ll use stacks #1 and #2 above simply because of the flexibility they provide me.
All of these stack options are viable in this game. I expect there to be plenty of points to go around and the players we’ve covered above will give you nearly all of the production from this game through the air and on the ground.
ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!

Rams @ Falcons – 54.5 total
This game has the highest total on the slate so it’s not a sneaky play to try and get exposure to it via game stacks. I expect this game to include some of the highest owned players on this slate, but, that doesn’t mean we can’t find an edge within our stack builds. I expect there will be plenty of Ryan + Julio with a Kupp bring back stacks this week. That simple 3 man game stack is generic and requires virtually no thought to come up with so we’ll be gaining our edge vs the field by attacking this game with full 5 man and 6 man game stacks. Most people will be too cautious about going ALL IN on a single game, and that is where we can get our edge vs the field. When others are uncomfortable, WE GO ALL IN!!!
Fortune Favors the Bold – 6 Man Game Stack Options
1) ATL4-LAR2
ATL: Ryan + Julio + Freeman + Hooper
LAR bring back with Kupp + Woods
— total cost $38,300
2) LAR4-ATL2
LAR: Goff + Kupp + Woods + Cooks
ATL bring back with Julio + Freeman
— total cost $38,300
Both of these are very expensive 6 man stacks, and while they are the two highest projected I think we can get an edge going a different route. To do that, I’m going to look at fading Julio Jones, for the sole purpose of being contrarian. Since nearly everyone that decides to stack this game will have Julio, we can make our lineups very different vs the field by making that small adjustment.
3) ATL4-LAR2
ATL: Ryan + Sanu + Freeman + Hooper
LAR bring back with Kupp + Woods
— total cost $34,900
4) LAR4-ATL2
LAR: Goff + Kupp + Woods + Cooks
ATL bring back with Hooper + Freeman
— total cost $35,600
Without Julio, both of these stacks are going to be lower owned. If we want to get even more leverage, we can replace Kupp in both of these lineups with Everett

Jaguars @ Bengals – 44.5 total
This game will be off the radar for most as it doesn’t have a very high game total and neither team is really a team we typically like to stack up. I think this will be very sneaky this week and give us some big leverage vs the field if we decide to go heavy here. Both teams have a very concentrated core group of players they lean on offensively. This makes it easy for us to know who to include in our stacks and who to exclude. On the Bengals side of the ball, Tyler Boyd and Auden Tate account for 49% of the team’s projected targets. The Jags just traded away Jalen Ramsey so I’m not going to avoid their pass Defense like we’ve done for the past few years.
On the Jaguars side of the ball, you can get nearly all of their offensive production from 3 players, RB Leonard Fournette, WR D.J. Chark and WR Dede Westbrook account for 63.6% of the expected targets this week. The Bengals throw the ball just as much as the Atlanta Falcons, 69% of the time to be exact, so the Jaguars Offense should get plenty of opportunities in this one this week.
Let’s Get Silly in the Milly!!! – 6 Man YOLO Game Stack!!!
1) JAC4-CIN2
JAC: Minshew + Chark + Fournette + Westbrook
CIN bring back with Boyd + Mixon
— total cost $33,900
2) CIN4-JAC2
CIN: Dalton + Tate + Mixon + Boyd
JAC bring back with Chark + Fournette
— total cost $33,500
These stacks leave you plenty of money to load up and grab some studs in your last few roster spots. If things break our way in this game, and it ends up being higher scoring than Vegas is expecting, we could see ourselves shoot to the top of the leader boards with both of these low owned stacks this weekend!!!
