WNBA FULL COURT PRESS

Dallas Wings @ Connecticut Sun

The Wings travel to Connecticut to take on the Sun. As long as Arike Ogunbowale keeps taking 18-20 shots a game, she’ll be a top dog for this team. It also helps that she put up 32.5 DKPs in this tough matchup during the first go around. Glory Johnson has been playing well and is in a prime position tonight if she can take advantage of it. Isabelle Harrison has solidified her role recently, earning around 30 MPG over the last four games. She also went for 28 DKPs in the first meeting, making her a good option here. With Kaela Davis out with injury, Brooke McCarty-Williams gets a nice boost here, she’s cheap enough and capable of doing damage, however, the return of Kayla Thornton takes away from her here.

The Sun are defending a two-game win streak tonight, and they’ll want to clinch a playoff spot as soon as possible. Jonquel Jones continues to lead this team. She only put up 25 DKPs in 27 minutes in the first matchup, a testament of the Wings ability to defend studs. She’ll be looking to rectify that today. Alyssa Thomas is a triple-double threat every time she walks on the court, and she put up 46 DKPs in the first meeting, she has a good matchup here and can exploit it. It helps that she is playing at home, where she is averaging 7 more FPPG than on the road. Courtney Williams has been fire recently, putting up fantastic scores, she’s in play here tonight. Jasmine Thomas remains a solid option on every slate. She has a nice floor and a solid ceiling, making her a good cash play. Other Sun players like Bria Holmes, Shekinna Stricklen, and Theresa Plaisance are in play only as GPP darts.

5-Star Play: Jonquel Jones, Alyssa Thomas, Aike Ogunbowale

4-Star Play: Courtney Williams, Glory Johnson, Jasmine Thomas, Isabelle Harrison

Deep Value: Brooke McCarty-Williams

GPP Sleeper: Allisha Gray

Indiana Fever @ Washington Mystics

The Fever travel to the Nation’s capital to take on the Mystics. This is a tough matchup all around for the Fever and there are very few recommended plays here. To be precise, there are only two players on the Fever team who are interesting, Erica Wheeler and Natalie Achonwa. A blowout in this game won’t be surprising, but if the Fever find a way to keep it close, it will be because of the magic on Erica Wheeler. She has had incredible ceiling games this season and remains a strong option on every slate. It also helps that she is posting 8.3 more FPPG on the road than at home this season. Natalie Achonwa gets a tough but beatable matchup. She has averaged 25.5 DKPs in two meetings against the Mystics this season, making her a nice option. The other Fever players are just GPP dart throws given the matchup.

The Mystics continue to be the team to beat in the league, led by Elena Delle Donne. EDD makes for an excellent play here today, the only worry is the blowout risk. Toliver out puts a spotlight on Natasha Cloud and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough. Both are playable here. Aerial Powers should remain in the starting lineup, and she makes for a solid play, especially since she is at home where she performs better. Emma Meesseman is a good play here, especially if the game blows out as expected. She’ll get increased run in this scenario and makes for an intriguing GPP option. She has been better at home than on the road this season too. Ariel Atkins makes for a low-owned GPP play here tonight as she gets a tough but beatable matchup.

5-Star Play: Elena Delle Donne

4-Star Play: Erica Wheeler, Natasha Cloud, Natalie Achonwa, Emma Meesseman

Deep Value: Shatori Walker-Kimbrough

GPP Sleeper: Aerial Powers

Las Vegas Aces @ Chicago Sky

Reports out from Vegas indicate A’ja Wilson plans on making her return today. Coach Laimbeer says she won’t have a minute restriction, but I won’t buy that until I see it. The return of Wilson adds a lot of uncertainty to this Aces roster. It’s a hit for Dearica Hamby who has been excellent with Wilson out. That said, Liz Cambage and Kayla McBride remain in play here. They are both GPP worthy options in this matchup. The remaining Aces players are just too risky here with the uncertainty, relegating Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum along with Hamby and Wilson to the MME only category.

For the Sky, they’ll have to rely on all of their talents to keep this game close. Courtney Vandersloot leads the way in an incredible matchup. She has averaged 39 DKPs in two previous meetings against the Aces this season, and she’ll be looking to put up similar numbers here. Diamond DeShields and Allie Quigley remain valuable options here as guards, with both carrying immense upside in this matchup. On the forward side, with Lavender out, Stefanie Dolson, Astou Ndour, and Cheyenne Parker are all in play. Ndour will be a popular play on this slate given her recent performances, but Parker might be the better GPP option. Foul trouble is a real possibility here, so we need to take that into account as we decide among the Sky forwards.

5-Star Play: Courtney Vandersloot, Liz Cambage

4-Star Play: Diamond DeShields, Allie Quigley, Kayla McBride,

Deep Value: Cheyenne Parker

GPP Sleeper: A’Ja Wilson

New York Liberty @ Phoenix Mercury

Tina Charles leads the Liberty into Phoenix to take on the Brittney Griner-less Mercury. Charles makes for an excellent play here today. The script is written in her favor. An excellent matchup coupled with Zahui B being likely out. It’s hard to pass up on Charles here. Kia Nurse has been playing over 30 MPG recently and makes for a solid option here too. She put up 39.3 DKPs in her lone meeting this season against the Mercury. Rebecca Allen appears to be the main beneficiary with Zahui B out. She makes for an intriguing GPP play. Bria Hartley, Tanisha Wright, and Brittany Boyd all have GPP potential. Getting them right is the major challenge here as the Liberty usually go with the hot hand.

For the Mercury, without Griner, DeWanna Bonner will be called on once again to lead the line. She’s talented enough to handle the job and exploit what is a tough matchup for her. Leilani Mitchell will get around 35 minutes here and is another solid option. Even coming off the bench, Yvonne Turner makes for a solid option here tonight. She is putting up 11.6 more FPPG at home than on the road making her a nice option. Her price is the main detractor here, relegating her to GPP status. Brianna Turner remains the main beneficiary of Griner being out in terms of minutes, and she’ll be in play here tonight. She has a solid floor given the minutes and has occasionally flashed upside.

5-Star Play: Tina Charles, DeWanna Bonner, Leilani Mitchell

4-Star Play: Kia Nurse, Yvonne Turner, Brianna Turner

Deep Value: Rebecca Allen

GPP Sleeper: Bria Hartley

Minnesota Lynx @ Seattle Storm

This is no picnic for the Lynx. The matchup against the Storm is a tough one. More so, it is one where the Lynx will have to spread out the scoring if they want to get away with a victory. Sylvia Fowles obviously leads the line. Her recent performance and her history against the Storm leave much to be desired, making her a GPP only option here. Odyssey Sims has been much better on the road this season, making her a solid option in this matchup. Damaris Dantas gets the best matchup on the board going against Howard. She put up 30 DKPs in her last game, in 30 minutes. This indicates she is fully healthy and back in the rotation. The rest of the Lynx are MME targets only here as the matchup is tough for them.

The Storm take on the Lynx in a favorable matchup. We begin up top with Natasha Howard who has been one of the best players in the league this season. Howard gets a nice matchup here tonight. Her best output this season against Lynx was a 54.25 DKPs effort. It should be noted that this performance was the first time in two years that Howard crossed the 30-fantasy point barrier against the Lynx. She’s definitely in play here tonight, but don’t be surprised if she doesn’t amaze. With Jordin Canada’s status up in the air, we’ll need to keep a close eye on this one, but if she doesn’t play, Jewell Loyd and Sami Whitcomb stand to benefit. This is a tough matchup for the guards, so don’t expect miracles. That said, three-point shooters have been the Achilles heel for the Lynx, making Sami Whitcomb a very strong play.

5-Star Play: Natasha Howard

4-Star Play: Sylvia Fowles, Damaris Dantas, Odyssey Sims, Sami Whitcomb, Jewell Loyd

Deep Value: Damaris Dantas

GPP Sleeper: Jewell Loyd
