The Sway Bar: NASCAR Draftkings Plays, Fades and Values for Michigan 2

Michigan again? Alas, it’s Sway Bar time – airport edition! I am about to hop on a cross country flight so this will be a bit condensed, by the research is as good as ever. As always, the research is just getting started, so think about getting signed up and get exclusive access to our projection model, the domination station lineup optimizer, and most importantly, direct chat room access to some of the sharpest NASCAR minds in the industry. I will be on there all weekend updating everyone on my research.

 Top Plays

Kyle Busch – I mean…what are you going to do? NOT play Kyle Busch starting 22nd!? No way, KB is a near lock. Michigan is a great track for him and despite a couple unsatisfactory practices, he should turn it all around very quick and move to the front.

Brad Keselowski – Brad’s teammate dominated this race just a few weeks, and it would seem it may be his turn. Brad was very fast in practice, and should retain his first place starting point for a good portion of the day.

Erik Jones – EJ was a rocketship in practice, and a lackluster qualifying effort makes him a super solid top play this weekend. He has been hit and miss at Michigan in the cup series, but was super solid here in the other series. He should compete for a win this weekend.

Kyle Larson – It wasn’t long ago that Larson owned Michigan, winning 3 times in a row. This team has been heating up, and I anticipate a top five finish agaisnt a 17th place starting spot is in the cards for Larson..

Fades

No obvious fades.

Values

Daniel Hemric – Hemric will roll of 38th after his qualifying times got dissallowed. I was blown away by his practice speeds, and it will be interesting to see how well he retains thats speed in the race. Alas, starting 38th makes him a near lock.

Austin Dillon – Hemrics teammate Austin Dillon also had his time dissallowed (yay team setups). I was more impressed with Hemric in practice, but Dillon is still a near lock.

Ryan Newman – Newman has a very good car this weekend and is in great form. He finished 8th here earlier in the year and I have reason to believe this time around will be any different.

No punt of the week. None of them look that good.
