MLB Top Stacks for Fanduel and Draftkings August 25th

Welcome back, everyone! This MLB Top Stacks article will be a daily Article here at DFS Army, where I will do my best to highlight my top offenses to target each day for Fanduel and Draftkings. In the list below the MLB Top Stacks, I will also list my Top5 at each position to give you more ideas on how to construct stacks today.

If you have any questions hit me up in the DFS Army VIP chat shoot me a DM @CeeGee and we can chat one-on-one about your process.

I appreciate you taking time out of your day to check out the article 🤟❤💯

I use this sheet daily to help me identify top stacks on each slate

I’ve included the RAW number to show you the number that is being Ranked. This is the resulting number from my formula each day and should help illustrate exactly how much separation there is from team to team on the list. Some days there are very clear teams ranked in the Top 1 or 2. Other days they are grouped much tighter.

I’ve added a new Leverage Column, which is simply the Projection (minus) the Ownership. In theory, this should help us see who we can target at lower ownership and gain leverage on the field.

🚨🚨 NOTE 🚨🚨

There will be an update posted at 5:30pm eastern in our DFS Army VIP chat so make sure you get signed up so you have access to all of the latest info before lock.

Astros

  • Jamie Barria has been getting roughed up all year and today he gets a matchup against one of the best offenses in baseball in Houston. On the year Barria has allowed a 318/200 woba/iso to lefties with a 42% fly ball rate and 35% hard contact rate. Against righties he’s much worse, giving up a 428/375 woba/iso with a 46% fly ball rate and 42% hard contact rate. The Astros will not be sneaky, but the matchup is ELITE so I don’t mind matching the field in GPPs this afternoon.

Indians

  • The Tribe has been cold since their 19 run explosion against the Yankees a few weeks back. That being said I can’t ignore elite matchups when they present themselves and they get one today vs Eric Skoglund. On the year Skoglund has a 5.27 xFIP and he allows a 341/304 woba/iso with a 39% fly ball rate and 35% hard contact rate. Against rightie’s he gives up a 322/206 woba/iso with a 40% fly ball rate and 43% hard contact rate. I’m expecting the Indians to break out of their slump in a big way today, their lineup is just too good to be slumping for too long.

LESSSSSSSSS  GOOOOOOOOOOO!!🤟❤💯

Reds

  • The Reds got rocked yesterday 14-0 but I think they’re gonna return the favor this afternoon in Pittsburgh against Dario Agrazal. On the year Agrazal has a 6.22 xFIP and he allows a 319/233 woba/iso to lefties while also allowing a 51% fly ball rate and a 39% hard contact rate. Against righties he gives up a 362/235 woba/iso and, a not terrible, 31% fly ball rate and 31% hard contact rate

Leverage Stacks (good projection + lower ownership)

Diamondbacks

  • Currently my 5th highest projected team, 6th ranked stack and 13th ranked ownership. The D’Backs get a matchup with Zach Davies in Miller Park today and I like the matchup on paper. Davies has a 4.74 xFIP on the year, and only strikes out 16.8% of lefties and 13.6% of righties on the season. Against lefties he allows a 340/185 woba/iso and around a league-average 31% fly ball and 31% hard contact rate. Davies is solid against righties so I’ll target the D’Backs lefties here in this matchup to gain leverage vs the field.

Batter Rankings 08/25

These rankings are not site-specific and are intended to give you a solid pool of players to build your lineups from. I’m going to use the standard positions, Catcher through Outfield in these rankings so be aware of that if you’re constructing teams on Draftkings where some players can play multiple positions.

I will use the 😍 ADORE feature in the MLB Domination Station to increase the projection of each of these players by 15%. Doing this will allow me to get MORE of them throughout all of my lineups.
