WNBA FULL COURT PRESS

The WNBA is well underway now and the wins have started coming in! Congrats to Seoexpert for this excellent takedown of the DK WNBA main GPP!

Connecticut Sun @ Atlanta Dream

The Sun head down South to take on the Dream. Jonquel Jones has been quiet recently, leading to a price drop. This is the perfect spot for her to rebound with her monster game. Don’t sleep on Alyssa Thomas either, she has had a 40+ game against the Dream already this season. On the guard side, Jasmine Thomas has been a little up and down lately, but there’s something about this matchup that brings out solid games from her. Courtney Williams and Shekinna Stricklen remain streaky options for the Sun in the matchup, who can have amazing GPP winning upside.

For the Dream, it all begins up top with Jessica Breland. This is an excellent and exploitable matchup for her going up against Alyssa Thomas. She has shown she can make the best of it this season. On the guard side, things don’t really get better for the Dream in this matchup. The Sun continue to remain one of the toughest teams against guards, making this a very difficult spot to attack. That said, Brittney Sykes and Tiffany Hayes are both solid enough players that they can put up excellent outings even in these tough conditions. Alex Bentley makes for an interesting option here as she goes up against her former team, the narrative is really the only thing she has going for her here though.

5-Star Play: Jonquel Jones, Jessica Breland, Alyssa Thomas

4-Star Play: Jasmine Thomas, Brittney Sykes, Tiffany Hayes, Courtney Williams

Deep Value: Alex Bentley

GPP Sleeper: Shekinna Sticklen

Phoenix Mercury @ Washington Mystics

Brittney Griner leads the Mercury into the Nations capital to take on the Mystics. Griner is the top option for the Mystics in this game, and with Delle Donne questionable due to a nasal injury, things could open even more for her in this game. DeWanna Bonner is expensive given her recent form, that said she has shown an ability to put up excellent performances this season and will benefit greatly if EDD misses this game. Apart from these two, it becomes dicey figuring out who else on this Mercury team can perform well. The Mystics remain one of the top defensive units in the WNBA. Perhaps Leilani Mitchell could break through the defensive firewall of the Mystics and have a good game here.

Elena Delle Donne is the top option for the Mystics as they try to defend their home court if she plays. There’s a huge question mark here given she suffered a nasal fracture in her previous game. Without EDD, the Mystics will have a much tougher time handling the Mercury in this game. Tianna Hawkins becomes a very important figure should EDD miss the game. She’ll play around 30 minutes here and has good upside in the matchup. Aerial Powers will also see extended run here in the 25-minute range and her scoring makes her an excellent option in this game. Ariel Atkins will be called upon to provide excellent defensive and scoring potential as will Kristi Toliver and Natasha Cloud. Do not sleep on Shatori Walker-Kimbrough who could also find herself getting close to 20 minutes in this scenario.

5-Star Play: Brittney Griner, Elena Delle Donne (if she plays)

4-Star Play: DeWanna Bonner, Tianna Hawkins (if EDD out), Kristi Tolliver, Ariel Atkins

Deep Value: Aerial Powers

GPP Sleeper: Natasha Cloud

DFS Army VIP’s crushed it on the Showdown Slates for the US Open using our Coaches Notes, Domination Station and Research Station!

Our Golf team is top notch, I cannot remember a week where someone has not won 5k or more in the past few months. Our coaches have helped many members have successful weekends like this. Congrats to Jamie2703 for the big win in golf.

Las Vegas Aces @ Indiana Fever

Liz Cambage and the Aces storm into Indiana to take on the Fever. The Aces are on a roll, one that began with a victory over this same Fever. We won’t expect another overtime game here, but it will be an interesting one. Cambage is obviously in play here, the real question is whether she’ll be needed that much by her team. A’ja Wilson exploded in the previous meeting, going for 60+ Fpts. She makes for an excellent option again today in a solid matchup. Kayla McBride is always in play when the Aces take to the court. Her scoring ability makes her an option day in and day out. Jackie Young has been solid in her rookie season and continues to be a good option for the Aces. The matchup here is an exploitable one for her. It’s hard to recommend either Kelsey Plum or Dearica Hamby right now. Plum is in a wicked slum and Hamby’s minutes are too inconsistent. That said, they make for sleeper GPP options in good matchups if you are risk loving.

For the Fever, it all comes down to the guard play. The Aces are susceptible to guards this season. In the last matchup, Erica Wheeler led the way with an incredible performance and she’ll be called on once more to do the same to help her team win this game. I prefer Kelsey Mitchell here today. She keeps taking a lot of shots and has seen them falling recently. She had a good game in the previous matchup and will look to build on it here. Don’t sleep on Tiffany Mitchell either, who continues to be one of the top guard options off the bench in the league this season. She has tremendous upside in this matchup. In the frontcourt, Natalie Achonwa makes for an excellent sleeper pick. If she can stay out of foul trouble tonight, she has the upside to go for 40+ in this matchup. However, it is a big IF that she stays out of foul trouble, guarding Cambage is no joke. Finally, Candice Dupree and Betnijah Laney make for interesting options as well with reasonable upside.

5-Star Play: Liz Cambage, A’ja Wilson, Erica Wheeler

4-Star Play: Kelsey Mitchell, Kayla McBride, Natalie Achonwa, Tiffany Mitchell, Candice Dupree, Jackie Young

Deep Value: Kelsey Plum

GPP Sleeper: Dearica Hamby

Minnesota Lynx @ Chicago Sky

Sylvia Fowles leads the Lynx into Chi-town to take on the Sky. Fowles is an unstoppable force in this matchup and one that is hard to pass up on. The Sky really don’t have anyone that can seriously limit Fowles here. They might have to double-team her, which will open the door for Napheesa Collier to make her presence felt. In the previous meeting, Collier went for 45 Fpts in this exact scenario. On the guard front, Odyssey Sims has been on fire recently, having fully embraced her role in this Lynx team. She makes for an excellent option here as well. A sleeper play here is Stephanie Talbot. Her last performance was a disaster, and this should keep her ownership low, making it an excellent moment to go back to her. The matchup is good for her here. Finally, Danielle Robinson and Lexie Brown make for interesting GPP options in this matchup.

For the Sky, it all begins with Courtney Vandersloot. She is the Maestro of this team and the team generally goes as she goes. Slooty has a good matchup here, one she can exploit. That said it is by no means an easy matchup for her and care needs to be taken here. Allie Quigley remains an excellent option for the Sky as well. Her ability to knock down shots make her a deadly weapon against the Lynx who are susceptible to the outside shot. Diamond DeShields makes for another interesting option here for the Sky. She performed poorly in the first meeting and will look to make up for it here tonight. She has the upside, but the matchup is not the easiest. Going against Sylvia Fowles is a nightmare, making Jantel Lavender the only frontcourt player for the Sky I am interested in. As long as she is given the minutes, she can exploit her matchup against Collier. Finally, Kahleah Cooper makes for an interesting option of the bench for the Sky in this matchup as well.

5-Star Play: Sylvia Fowles, Napheesa Collier, Odyssey Sims

4-Star Play:  Courtney Vandersloot, Stephanie Talbot, Diamond DeShields, Allie Quigley

Deep Value: Kahleah Cooper

GPP Sleeper: Jantel Lavender
