NBA Full Court Press for Tuesday, April 19th

— MAIN SLATE (3 Games) 7:00 pm est LOCK —

Toronto Raptors 107.3 at Orlando Magic 102.5
Vegas – TOR -5.5
Total – 210.5

TOR Chris Boucher – Questionable
TOR Patrick McCaw – Out
TOR OG Anunoby – Out
ORL Isaiah Briscoe – Out

Last game’s outcome is was basically what we predicted, the Magic got their one game under their belt, and Toronto came out and showed what they can do. I honestly don’t see Toronto losing another game of this series and I think they’ll take it in 5. However, this game will be competitive, which makes it full of some fantasy goodness.

For Toronto, we know how their rotation is going to shake out. The starters will play close to 35 minutes, with Siakam getting a few additional minutes as well as he gets some run with the second unit as well. Siakam is a great play again tonight, as he has a 50 FP ceiling and should play close to 40 minutes. He underperformed a bit last game, but the place to attack this Orlando team is at the PF position. Kyle Lowry bounced back like I thought he would, and he’s another really good play again tonight as D.J. Augustin isn’t a great defender. Gasol will be tasked with shutting down Vuc still, so that takes Ibaka out of play for me, as Gasol will continue to see heavy minutes as this Orlando offense really is out of sync with Gasol essentially taking Vuc out of the game. Kawhi Leonard is also a great play again tonight, as he’s going to see heavy minutes and will be relied on to take on the scoring load for this Raptors team along with Siakam. I’m cool with Norman Powell as a Drop Score again tonight as he should see some decent run with the second unit, and if his shot is falling he can put up fantasy points quick.

On the Orlando side of the ball, their rotation is pretty predictable, Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac, Nikola Vucevic, and Evan Fournier are going to play close to 35 minutes each. Michael Carter-Williams is likely going to see the 2nd most minutes off the bench, as D.J. Augustin doesn’t usually play over 30 minutes per game. I’m avoiding Evan Fournier again tonight as well, as Toronto has been phenomenal at defending SGs. However, Toronto can also be attacked at the SF position, and Isaac had a really bad game last time out, but I expect him to bounce back as Kawhi will likely be tasked with trying to shutdown Aaron Gordon. I don’t think he crushes value but I think he’s priced right around 5x which makes him a viable play that likely won’t be highly owned. I’m still avoiding Vuc as he’s scored 11 and 6 actual points as Gasol is one of the best defenders in the league and really has taken him out of the game. My favorite plays from the Magic are going to be  Jonathan Isaac and Aaron Gordon as he’ll see close to 40 minutes again and play significant time with the second unit. Terrence Ross is always a GPP option as he can score in bunches when his shot is falling, and his minutes are likely blowout proof as he should see close to 30 minutes off the bench either way.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam

💥💥 4 star play – Kyle Lowry, Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac, Marc Gasol

💥 Value – Norman Powell, Michael Carter-Williams

Boston Celtics 100.4 at Indiana Pacers 103.1
Vegas – IND -2.5
Total – 204.0

BOS Marcus Smart – Out

Unsurprisingly this game is once again the lowest total on the slate, as these two teams are more defensive minded than the other four teams playing tonight, however, the pace picked up considerably from the first game in Boston the other night. The Pacers are actually favored in this game, which surprises me a bit, and those of us that bet the C’s at -7.5 the other night lucked out with Gordon Hayward hitting two free throws to push it to 99-91 with 3 second left to cover. There are still a few good plays here so let’s dig in.

For the Celtics, Kyrie Irving really stands out again tonight, as he balled out last game and I actually like him over Westbrook tonight. A lot of people will be pairing Westbrook and Damian Lillard tonight, and I think pairing Lillard and Kyrie will be a bit lower owned. With Smart out, Baynes continued to start, but he only played 15 minutes, and the 15-20 minutes he’ll likely get isn’t enough to make him playable enough for me. Jaylen Brown also moved into the starting 5 and didn’t do squat the past two games, and he really doesn’t do much with Kyrie on the floor at the same time. I really don’t roster him unless Irving is out, so he’s really only in play as a long shot GPP play if you think he gets it going tonight. Gordon Hayward also makes for a solid play, as he’ll see over 30 minutes off the bench and dominate the second unit usage again. Marcus Morris is also a decent value play, but I like him less coming off the bench than when he was starting. I’m on a wait and see approach with Horford, as it was evident something was off with him last game. If we get word that he’s in good shape tonight then I really like him as a solid play.

On the Pacers side of the ball, they’ve begun to tighten up their rotation, as every starter aside from Wesley Matthews played over 30 minutes. Thaddeus Young is my preferred play for the Pacers as he played 33 minutes last game, and got off to a hot start before slowing down. Like Caris LeVert last night, he can be a lower owned guy that can break the slate. He can take advantage of this matchup as Boston is still weak inside, and Horford isn’t feeling well at the moment and it was very evident the other night. Myles Turner is always a GPP option, as we know Boston is soft inside, but he really hasn’t played well. Cory Joseph played over 20 minutes again, and Tyreke Evans also saw almost 20 minutes and played better than Joseph so I expect him to get a slight minutes bump tonight.

UPDATE: Victor Oladipo has been cleared by doctors and is on a plane to Indiana, not sure if he will play yet but it is something to monitor.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Kyrie Irving, Thaddeus Young

💥💥 4 star play – Myles Turner, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Gordon Hayward

💥 Value – Cory Joseph, Tyreke Evans, Marcus Morris

Portland Trailblazers 106.7 at Oklahoma City Thunder 114.5
Vegas – OKC -7.5
Total – 221.5

The landscape changes for this game tonight, this is a must win game for Oklahoma City and I expect both Paul George and Russell Westbrook to come out firing in this one. The spread seems really big to me considering how Portland has played so far this series, but I think OKC can take this game at home tonight.

We’ll start with Portland, Damian Lillard in the playoffs is currently on another level and him and George are my two favorite plays from this game. CJ McCollum has also really elevated his play during this series and although his price is up, I still think he has a legit shot at another 50 burger tonight as OKC has been struggling to defend the SG position. Him and Dame are my two favorite plays from this team. Kanter came back down to earth last game as his matchup with Adams got the better of him. We know that Dame is going to get his, which means the Thunder are going to check either McCollum or Kanter, with Adams on the defensive end I think Kanter will struggle again tonight. Moe Harkless also makes for a decent play and should get more run if he stops getting into foul trouble. He’s a bit underpriced on FanDuel. Rodney Hood is a decent Drop Score play on FanDuel as he saw 26 minutes last game, but didn’t do much with them.

Paul George’s shoulder seems to be ok, as he shot over 50% last game although he struggled from 3 still. I expect them to lean on him tonight, he should play over 40 minutes again and I’ll have a lot of shares over him in a must win game at home. Westbrook is also tough to pass up considering he averages a triple double, but his shot really hasn’t been falling the past few weeks so if you have to pick one, I’m going with PG13. Steven Adams also makes for a decent play here as I don’t think he’ll be too highly owned and Kanter is just average on D. Jerami Grant also makes for an intriguing play as he’ll continue to see 30+ minutes but he didn’t shoot well last game. Dennis Schroder saw a significant minutes drop last game which is a bit concerning, but I think he bounces back in this one and should see over 30 minutes off the bench and he is still fairly cheap. Nerlens Noel also makes for an intriguing Drop Score play here as he should see 15-20 minutes off the bench. I’ll be stacking this game pretty heavily tonight as it is my favorite of the three.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Damian Lillard, Paul George, Russell Westbrook, CJ McCollum

💥💥 4 star play – Enes Kanter, Jerami Grant, Dennis Schroder, Moe Harkless, Steven Adams

💥 Value – Nerlens Noel
