NASCAR Xfinity Sereis ISM Raceway Preview for DFS Draftkings

Welcome to the Xfinity Series Setup. This week we will be looking ahead to the Xfinity race at ISM Raceway. I’m RyanLarkin88 and you can follow me on twitter @Larkin8. This week the NASCAR Xfinity Series will be racing at ISM Raceway. ISM is a 1 mile low banked race track. Kyle Busch is the only cup driver in the field and will be as obvious of a play that there has ever been. Busch has won 6 of his last 8 races at ISM and 10 times overall. He has led 1247 out of 1574 laps in those 8 races for an avg. of 156 laps per race. 10 and 20 lap Practice times will be important to help identify the best plays.  We generally don’t see a ton of accidents or cars failing to finish. Long green flag runs are fairly normal.

Lineup Building

Dominator / Top Tier

Kyle Busch and everyone else. Kyle should dominate. He should also be massively owned. Bell and Allgaier were both really strong here last season. They should be favorites if something were to happen to Busch. Never hurts to play against a driver like Busch in some a few lineups who will be so massively owned. Finding a strong #2 to pair with Busch will be important. Look for the driver with position upside but also top 5 upside. The #22 car has been the biggest threat to Busch at ISM in the past so Cindric will certainly be a good play.

Mid to Low Tier

Of course when you play Kyle Busch you will end up having to make the most of the salary by hitting the mid to low tier correctly. Position upside or drivers with top 15 finishing ability will be key. Pay attention to practice speeds and see who appears to have good long run speed from this group. Utilize the research station to help pinpoint the best plays. The research Station is for VIP Members only so be sure to sign up and use code Xfinity for 20% off.

Punt

Playing Busch very well might force you to play a punt. If you get one starting 35th – 37th behind 3-4 start and park drivers then go for it. They will essentially be a lock for 20+ otherwise just be aware that any cheap play starting 32nd or higher might not have the ability to score above 20.

If you are new to NASCAR check out this article I wrote explaining lineup creation!

I will be giving my plays and fades in the VIP Slack prior to the race.

I will also answer any questions you may have in the VIP Slack!
