Friedman’s DK Tiers – DraftKings NBA Tiers for March 22, 2019

Hi there! I’m Aaron/AFriedman15 (@AFriedman15DFS)  and this is Friedman’s DK Tiers, where I will break down the DraftKings Tiers slate using information from the DFS Army NBA Research Station (RS),  DFS Army Domination Station (DS),  and other sources. I will generally try to write Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Weekends, but I may have some spare time on other days as well.

In my articles, I will use a few terms which may or may not be familiar:

DKFPPG = DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Game

DKFPPM =DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Minute

Tier 1:

James Harden is my top spend up play tonight and accordingly my top play in Tier 1 tonight.  This is actually a slight pace-up spot vs. San Antonio, he has the top And1 rating on the slate and San Antonio has not been great at defending guards this year. I will have some Russell Westbrook too, as he just went for 66.8 in the same matchup on Wednesday.

Tier 2 :

D’Angelo Russell will be pretty popular returning to his initial team in Los Angeles. He went for 50 DK FP and with the ugly departure out of LA, he will not be lacking motivation tonight. Kawhi will be in my GPP builds

Tier 3:

DeMar DeRozan is my favorite play here in this less-than-attractive tier 3. DeRozan has the highest usage and And1 Rating here.  Aldridge actually has somewhat drastic home/road splits. The Spurs center is averaging 36.1 DKFPPG on the road, compared to 42 DKFPPG at home.  I might have an Aaron Gordon share too, but that game is gross. Not a fan of this tier!

Tier 4:

I like Clint Capela a lot here, as he has averaged 38 DKFPPG over his last 5, 36.2 DKFPPG over his last 10 and 49.7 DKFPPG vs. San Antonio in his last three versus the Spurs. My other co-favorite is Pascal Siakam after a huge outing in the same matchup vs. OKC on Tuesday.  He has the best aDvP on the slate. I would only roster Chris Paul in “non-Harden” builds here.  Millsap has been good, but I am nervous about this game getting out of hand.  Gallo is in play too if you want to stack the Cleveland/Clippers game in the lower tiers.

Tier 5:

Jonas Valanciunas is the cash play with no Conley, and potentially no Joakim Noah for the Grizzlies. My favorite GPP play here is Lou Williams, who faces the the Caviliers, who really struggle against shooting guards. He has the best matchup in this tier.

Tier 6:

Josh Richardson is my cash play here as he will draw the start at point guard and likely play the most minutes in this tier. Dinwiddie and Allen could be intriguing for GPPs. If you decide to roster Dinwiddie, I would only do so in non-D’Angelo Russell lineups.
