Hi there! I’m Aaron/AFriedman15 (@AFriedman15DFS) and this is Friedman’s DK Tiers, where I will break down the DraftKings Tiers slate using information from the DFS Army NBA Research Station (RS), DFS Army Domination Station (DS), and other sources. I will generally try to write Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Weekends, but I may have some spare time on other days as well.
In my articles, I will use a few terms which may or may not be familiar:
DKFPPG = DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Game
DKFPPM =DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Minute

Tier 1:
With LeBron out, this has turned into a two-person tier. James Harden is an elite play tonight. In the past 4 weeks Harden and Capela on the floor, and Paul off of it, Jarden has a 44.7% usage rate and is averaging 1.50 FPPM. I will gladly eat the Harden chalk here. Giannis is always in play, but this is a pace down spot for the Bucks. I will have at least 80% Harden.
Tier 2 :
This is a very good tier! I think Embiid checks the most boxes here, going up against a week front court in Sacremento, not to mention that the Kings are on a back-to-back. Bradley Beal is always safe (and I like both sides of that game), and Andre Drummond has a great matchup here too. I will focus on Embiid in cash and some shares of Beal and Drummond. I will take a stand against Lillard who has the toughest matchup between the Portland Big Three of Lillard, McCollum, and Nurkic.

Tier 3:
Kemba is my guy in Tier 3 with Charlotte fighting for the playoffs. I think Simmons is in a good spot too, but Philly is at full strength. Aldridge could be in play here too, with no one on the Knicks able to stop him.
Tier 4:
Blake Griffin and Devin Booker are my two favorites here. I think Blake will be underowned due to recency bias, but he gets a big break here with no LeBron. I don’t usually play a ton of Devin Booker, but without Tyler Johnson and Elie Okobo, I am expecting him to have the ball in his hands a ton. Nurkic and Markkanen are decent plays too.
Tier 5:
Absolutely love Lou Williams here, especially if Danillo Gallinari gets ruled out. Aside from AD, he has the highest ceiling tonight and has averaged 44 DK FP in his last three meetings versus the Bulls. Hield and Fox are in play for GPPs also, and if you want to take a GPP stab with AD, I don’t hate that, but Sweet Lou is my priority in this tier.
Tier 6:
This is actually almost as good of a Tier 6 as I’ve ever seen. Rajon Rondo is my cash play here with no LeBron, Ball, or Ingram to handle the ball. Rondo will see a ton of touches tonight. I also don’t mind Kuzma who will share a lot of the usage with Rondo. If you want to take McCollum in cash, I won’t fault that either. I also like Harrell a ton. The Bulls are towards the bottom of the league in paint points and rebounds and there will be no viable options to stop him.
Bookmark the “Coaching Notes” page, it will remain the same regardless of coaches!.
Those are your DK Tiers! Some are going to be commonplace, and some won’t. These are players my research led me to and some will contain risk. Your research may indicate you agree or disagree, and that’s ok….we discuss these things in our coaching channels nightly. Good luck tonight! Check the coaches picks for even more confidence in your plays. And always consult all of the unlocked tools (including the Research Station) before lock! And, if you are catching me on a #FreebieFriday, you are going to want to unlock those coaching channels by admitting……
