DFS NBA Lineup Strategies – Blande’s 6th Man – Winning Fanduel Advice March 14th

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.

Welcome to another edition of 6th Men on this six-game slate. Another six-game slate and another atrocious bench to deal with. I think we can all begin to see the trend here. On this mid-range slates, the bench keeps getting thinner especially as teams shorten their rotations and push for the playoffs. Let’s get a look at the few good options available.

CORE PLAYS

SG – Monte Morris ($3,900): The Nuggets decided to shorten their bench, and Monte Morris appears to be the key beneficiary. He is averaging 32 FDPs in 27 MPG over his last 2 games. He will get similar minutes tonight in a good matchup. He is a core play tonight.

C – Mason Plumlee ($4,700): In his last four games of 20+ minutes, Plumlee has put up 34.8, 31.3, 30.6 and 26.6 FDPs. He didn’t crack 25 minutes in those games either. He has played over 20 in his last 2 games, and given the matchup tonight, he could be in line for another 20-25 minutes. Last time out against the Mavs, he put up 29.1 FDPs in 21 minutes. He makes for a nice pay down option at center tonight, and a core hybrid/GPP play IF seeking to save salary.

GPP PLAYS

PG – Jerryd Bayless ($3,500): This play only opens if both Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose are out. And even then, barely. Bayless could be in line today for around 20 minutes and he can meet value at his price in that time. That said, this is a deep GPP drop-score play at best.

SF – Jae Crowder ($5,400): Crowder disappointed yesterday, but that aside, he is having a nice run right now. IF you are looking to pay down into this range tonight, you can do much worse than Crowder. He gets a great matchup here along with around 30 minutes on the court. He is a good GPP option.

PF – Domantas Sabonis ($6,200): Sabonis is a little expensive for my taste, but there is no denying the upside he carries. Factor in the plus matchup of PFs vs OKC, and you have yourself a GPP play that could take you to the promise land. His low minutes are concerning, making him risky to roster. It’s a GPP-only kind of play at his price.

These are your 6th Men of the day. Good luck out there Army!
