DFS NBA Lineup Strategies – Blande’s 6th Man – Draftkings and Fanduel Advice March 8th

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.

Welcome to another edition of 6th Men on this wonderful nine-game slate. There is a lot of value in starting lineups today, but I’ve got some options off the bench for you tonight. Let’s take a look at what the bench has to offer.

CORE PLAYS

SG – Lou Williams ($7,300): Sweet Lou is in a small slump right now by his standards. He is due a huge game one of these nights. Tonight – against a Thunder team on a b2b, in what should be a close game, and given the good matchup – could just be that night. It’s a good spot for Lou, making him a good lower-owned option tonight in Hybrid and GPP lineups.

SG – Jeremy Lamb ($6,600): Lamb has been playing well since moving to the bench. He continues to get hefty minutes, to the tune of 31.6 MPG over his last 5 games. He has turned this into 34 FDPs per game over that period. The spot against the Wizards is a great one, making him an all-format option here tonight.

SG – Terrence Ross ($5,000): Ross returns from injury tonight. He is priced at just 5k with a floor of around 25 and a ceiling of around 45 FDPs. He makes for a fantastic all-format option here with upside in a good matchup.

SF – Jabari Parker ($5,700): Parker has put up three 32+ FDPs games in his last four games. His matchup tonight against the Hornets is an excellent one in what should be a high scoring close affair. He makes for a nice play in Hybrid and GPP lineups tonight.

GPP PLAYS

PG – Ish Smith ($4,700): Ish Smith is a borderline drop-score candidate today. His matchup against the Bulls is a good one, he is playing 20-25 minutes and has shown 35 FDPs upside. He is GPP viable and drop-score material tonight.

SF – Darius Miller ($3,500): Jrue Holiday and E’Twaun Moore are out tonight. Miller will get 30+ minutes here. He occasionally flashes upside, but it is so inconsistent you can hardly count on it. That said, at min-price and given the minutes he will play, he makes for an excellent drop-score candidate.

PF – Frank Kaminsky ($4,400): Kaminsky has seen three straight games of 23+ minutes and in averaging 23.3 FDPs in that span. His price has increased as a result. That said, he gets a fantastic matchup against the Wizards, and given the upside we know he possesses, he makes for an excellent drop-score candidate here.

PF – Ivan Rabb ($3,600): Rabb is another drop-score candidate on tonight’s slate. He is battling back from injury and played 23 minutes last time out. His size will be needed tonight to deal with the size the Jazz bring to the table. He should see 23-28 minutes tonight, and at near min-price, makes for a good drop-score candidate.

Those are your Sixth men for today. Good luck out there today Army!
