DFS NBA Lineup Strategies – Blande’s 6th Man – Winning Fanduel Advice March 11th

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.

Welcome to another edition of 6th Men on this six-game slate. The bench is looking really rough tonight, with few options to really like. However, you never really know until you go diving: there just might be a few diamonds in the rough. Let’s take a look at what we are dealing with.

CORE PLAYS

SG – Jeremy Lamb ($6,500): Lamb is averaging 31 MPG in his last 7 games and has put up 3 46+ FDPs games in that period, including a 47.8 FDP effort against the Rockets. His price is high here, but he does have the upside and has shown he can play in this matchup, making him a solid hybrid and GPP option here tonight.

SG – Jordan Clarkson ($5,200): Clarkson is averaging 27 MPG over his last six and has scored over 20 FDPs in each of the games. He offers a solid floor here along with good upside when his shot is falling. The matchup is good for him too coming off the bench. He makes for a solid hybrid and GPP play tonight.

SF – Jae Crowder (5,600): Crowder has picked it up over his last 8 games. In that span, he has gone for 24+ FDPs in 7 out of 8 games, with 4 of those being 30+ FDPs efforts. He is averaging 30 MPG as well in this period. In his last matchup against the Thunder this season, he put up 36.1 FDPs in 36 minutes. At his price, he makes for a solid option in all formats here tonight.

SF – Gordon Hayward ($4,700): With Jayson Tatum out, Gordon Hayward is theoretically in line to get a boost here. We know Hayward has the upside to crush in this matchup, the issue has mainly been his inability to deliver the goods, especially when Kyrie is playing. There’s some uncertainty here, but Hayward’s price makes him drop-score viable, making him playable in all formats here.

GPP PLAYS

SF – Nemanja Bjelica ($4,600): Bigs have crushed the Wizards this season and there is no reason to see that stopping now. With Bagley still out, Bjelica is in line to play 25-30 minutes tonight in a prime matchup. The last time he faced the Wizards, he hung 49.9 FDPs on them in 36. While he won’t get 36 minutes tonight, he should get enough minutes to crush value. He is a drop-score and GPP play due to the uncertainty with the Kings on minutes.

PF – Kenneth Faried ($5,500): Faried returns tonight and we don’t yet know if he will have a minute limit. If there is no limit, Faried will get 25-30 minutes against a Hornets team that keeps getting burnt by bigs. He makes for a solid GPP option here tonight if there are no minutes limit.

PF – Marquese Chriss ($3,500): No Thompson and Nance tonight makes Chriss the top option the Cavs have at the backup PF and C positions. This puts Chriss in line for 25-30 minutes of playing time tonight. Now Chriss hasn’t made the most of his minutes in the past, so this is a risky play, but his price makes him an excellent drop-score candidate.

PF – Daniel Theis ($3,500): With Jayson Tatum out tonight, it’s possible Theis could see some extra minutes off the bench here. If he gets 18-23 minutes tonight, he can absolutely crush value in one of the best matchups on the board. The uncertainty over the minutes relegates him to a strictly drop-score GPP role here though.

These are your 6th Men of the day. Good luck out there Army!
