DFS NBA Lineup Strategies – Blande’s 6th Man – Draftkings and Fanduel Advice Feb 13th

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.

We get a massive 11-game slate today and if you haven’t been paying attention, the ASB is right around the corner. As a result, there’s a lot of news breaking with players being out, so make sure to stay tuned to the news and be proactive and play light here. There are going to be late scratches that blow up lineups, so be smart. With that out of the way, let’s take a look at the top plays off the bench on this slate.

If you are not taking advantage of Donuts work on FantasyDraft, you are doing something wrong!

CORE PLAYS

SG – Lou Williams (8100/7100): Sweet Lou is the top scoring option for this Clippers team since the Harris trade. He has gone for 47.75 and 52.25 DKPs in 2 of his past four games. In three games against the Suns this season, he has averaged 27.6 DKPs in 20.3 MPG. He is playing over 30 minutes now, making him a solid option to hit value tonight. I like him better on DK, but he is in play on FD too.

SG – Jordan Clarkson (6200/5300): Clarkson is averaging 28.5 DKPs in 29.4 MPG over his last 5 games. This gives him a solid floor of around 5x over this period. He has a 40+ ceiling especially in a matchup against the Nets. He makes for an excellent play tonight as he is a key piece of the Cavs offense. He is cheaper on DK but is playable on both sites given his upside and floor.

PF – Montrezl Harrell (7800/6900): Harrell is finally showing some promise again, since the trade of Harris. In his last five games, he is averaging 35.4 DKPs in 29.6 MPG. He gets a fantastic matchup here against the Suns who can’t defend bigs. He makes for a good play off the bench on this slate, with enough upside to win a GPP for you.

PF – Marvin Bagley III (6500/5900): Bagley is coming into his own. He has been on fire recently, averaging 35.3 DKPs in 28.4 MPG over his last 5 games. Today he gets the excellent matchup at PF against the Nuggets. The Nuggets have been getting killed by PFs this season and it is one of the first positions I usually check on a slate. Bagley is in a prime spot here. His upside and floor recently make him a top option on this slate.

The wins keep coming in all sizes, let’s keep it going!

GPP PLAYS

PG – Brad Wanamaker (3500/3200): Kyrie Irving is out and Terry Rozier is doubtful. Brad Wanamaker is waiting on the sidelines to take full advantage of this situation. He will get good minutes tonight in the 25-30 minute range, and see increased usage and production from it. He is min-priced on both sites right now, making for an excellent drop-score candidate on FD and a GPP punt play on DK.

SG – Allen Crabbe (4000/3700): This will be Crabbe’s fourth game since returning from injury, and he is already back in the 30 MPG range. His talent, usage, and production on this team combined with his minutes make him too cheap on both sites. He makes for an excellent drop-score candidate on FD and a GPP value play on DK.

SF – Jabari Parker (4600/5400): FD Only play. Parker can win you GPPs or frustrate you completely. He has 45-50 FPs upside but can also lay a massive dog. His price on FD is borderline in drop-score, so given his upside, he is usable on there in that capacity. You can play him on DK if you are MMEing and want some exposure in case he goes off.

PF – Richaun Holmes (3700/3700): I really love Holmes here tonight. He’s getting 15-20 minutes off the bench, but he is a huge ppm guy. In three games this season against the Clippers, Holmes is averaging 33.8 DKPs in 21 MPG. I like the upside he brings here as a GPP play on both sites. He is an excellent drop-score candidate.

PF – JaMychal Green (4100/3400): Green played 20 mins last game. He is slowly getting minutes with his new team here. He gets the glorious matchup against the Suns here and at his price should have little difficulty hitting value. He is cheap enough to make for a drop-score candidate on FD, and one can take a shot on him in GPPs if MMEing.

Those are your Sixth men for today. Good luck out there today Army!
