I look forward to providing you with analysis and picks throughout this 2018-2019 CBB season! Remember, if I mention a player as a cash game play they most likely are OK for GPP play. Let’s take a look at what games are on the slate for DraftKings and Fanduel. The KenPom score projections are in parenthesis.
Kent St (72) vs Buffalo (88)
Indiana (70) vs Iowa (77)

KENT ST vs BUFFALO
CASH: J.Walker (G-FD), A.Williams (G-DK), Whittington (F-DK), Massinburg (G), Caruthers (G)
GPP: J.Walker (G-DK near cash), A.Williams (G-FD), Whittington (F-FD), Williamson (G-FD Dart), Frederick (F-Dart), A.Roberts (G), J.Harris (G), Perkins (F), Graves (G-DK), Jordan (G), McRae (F-Dart)
FADE: Williamson (G-DK), Peterson (G), Graves (G-FD)
INJURY: J.Avery (G-Questionable)
This is the preferred game to target, even though the latter has a high total as well. Buffalo puts up a TON of points, especially when they are at home. Most of the season I have preferred Harris over Massinburg, however, Harris has really been in a funk shooting the 3-ball and its enough to drop him to a GPP for me. The HUGE question revolves around J.Avery‘s status as he has missed the last few games with an ankle issue. Kent St’s rotation has been a bit of a confusing thing recently as Williamson and Peterson somewhat flip-flopped between the bench and a starting role. I wanted to list Roberts as a cash play if Avery is out, however, his ability to stand on the court and do nothing for 28 minutes isn’t something I like. He does have the ability to go 5x at his current price and will probably be very popular tonight.
My cash plays are all guys I want exposure to for GPPs, so they aren’t just necessarily safe plays. They all offer GPP winning upside, with a cash safe floor. I may not have a ton of exposure to Walker as I prefer the other 4 guys listed. I am not sure what to do with Avery should we hear he returns as ankle injuries tend to bother guards for a while, even after they’ve returned. I think I have to recommend a fade of him and if he beats me then he beats me. Of the guys who aren’t listed in cash, but are listed as GPP plays, I think my preferred players are J.Harris and N.Perkins. Both of these guys are capable of putting up MONSTER stat lines. I am intrigued by McRae as a GPP dart, but he has a very low floor.
INDIANA vs IOWA
CASH: Langford (G), D.Davis (F-DK), T.Cook (F), Bohannon (G), Moss (G)
GPP: Morgan (F), J.Smith (F-Dart), Phinisee (G), Durham (G), D.Davis (F-FD), Wieskamp (F)
FADE: D.Green (G), McRoberts (G), L.Garza (F), N.Baer (F), Kriener (F), McCaffery (G)
INJURY: NONE
This game is going to be popular amongst those who don’t follow CBB much as its a Friday night with 2 major conference teams playing. That will automatically increase ownership. I really like this game to feature the post players early and then opening up to some 3-pointers being fired as they try to double down low. Cook and Davis are my two favorite plays in this game and thankfully Davis’ price has come up enough so that he isn’t necessarily an auto plugin.
The cash plays are pretty straight forward as Langford is based off usage, while Bohannon and Moss are providing really solid floors in a spot where they might be able to drain some threes. The GPP list of players aren’t ones that I am all that excited about using as I think Morgan has lost some of his upside, while Smith has moved to the bench. The Indiana guard rotation is tough to figure out and that makes it tough to decide on Phinisee or Green. Durham is listed because of his shooting ability. I felt like I had to choose one of the other Hawkeyes to add to the GPP list so I went with Wieskamp because he has shown really strong upside, even though those performances came when the team was short-handed.
