I have the luxury of not only watching every game but also using Data as well to break things down to construct proper lineups. My articles will feature a CORE for your NBA lineups. These are guys I consider Cash Safe. I will also dive into some GPP pivots that I believe will be lesser owned and can leverage you against the field. Draftkings has incorporated a late swap now for NBA. Fanduel is removing the lowest score in your lineups so there is some strategy there to take more risks with punts and sleepers. CORE/CASH
Editor’s Note: These plays are for cash games that pay out 50% of the field and small field tournaments.
PG – Steph Curry (10400/10000) – Curry is on an absolute tear as of late. Hell, he got in foul trouble last game and played sparingly in the first half. I think he had like 12 at halftime. AND THEN he says – Hold my beer watch this…ends with 50. He has also torched the Clippers who like to play fast. Expect lots of scoring in this game which sports a robust 240 total.
SG – Donovan Mitchell (9000/8900) – Mitchell is still the only player on the Jazz who can legitimately handle the ball so his usage is through the roof right now. I like Mitchell for only cash games because his floor is high. We know what we will get out of him tonight – 35-45.
SF – Kevin Durant (10600/10100) – KD has also had his way with the Clippers posting multiple 60+ games against them. Kevin Durant is one of my Core plays where I will have him in Cash lineups and GPP lineups.
PF – Tobias Harris (7800/7100) – You are seeing a theme here. Lots of players from the Clipper/Warrior game. You absolutely can and should swing this game back with a Clipper and that Clipper is Tobias Harris. He doesn’t have nearly the upside of a Harrell but he is much more consistent.
C – Nikola Vucevic (9500/9400) – The Magic play the Nets. The Nets continue to bleed points against centers and Vucevic is your man tonight to collect. He has only gone under 40 once in the last 5 against Brooklyn.
GPP/PIVOTS

PG – Damian Lillard (9800/8600) – Dame Dolla plays against the Pelicans tonight. The same team that bumped them out of the playoffs last year. I really do struggle playing Damian as he does disappoint a lot but he will go under-owned as everyone will just grab Curry instead. However, Damian has a legit 60 point upside. Play Curry in Cash – Run Damian in GPP lineups as a pivot off Curry. Oh, he’s much cheaper on DK as well! Love him there.
SG – DeMar DeRozan (8300/7800) – DeRozan is way too cheap tonight against the Twolves who have been giving up the 3rd highest amount of points in their last 3 games. They are not playing good Defense and DeRozan can and will get to his spots tonight. DeMar has higher upside then Mitchell but a lower floor. I like pivoting off Dmitch to Derozan in my GPP lineups.
SF – Justise Winslow (7000/6800) – Winslow is basically running point for the Heat. When I say Basically, I mean he is. Detroit’s biggest defensive liability is their backcourt. Winslow will see a lot of Reggie Jackson tonight and I love that. He will eat.
PF – Draymond Green (7600/6900) – I am not nervous at Boogie stealing Draymond’s Production one bit. Maybe he will take a couple rebounds? Realistically, it should open Draymond up for more open shots (which he needs) and more assists. By the way – Did I mention the Clippers are the worst team tonight in defending the 4 position? Draymond should see a majority of his minutes at the 4.
C – Ante Zizic (4200/3700) – Nothing uglier than seeing Ante Zizic Chalk Day, but here we are. He is going to be the go-to center of choice for a lot of people if you pay down. Tristan Thompson is injured and Zizic will be needed to match up with Gobert for close to 30 minutes. Not a very good matchup for him but he is going to see a lot of court time and he is near min price.
