Today brings us good tidings in the form of a massive 10-game slate. The best part about it is, there are so many teams in good positions and not too many studs, so we can focus on building really good lineups. Part of that process is finding the right value plays, and 6th Men make up a huge part of that. Let’s take a look at some of the top options off the bench on this slate. Pricing is FD/DK.
The Army keeps churning out winners, both big and small. What are you waiting for?
CORE PLAYS
Montrezl Harrell (7400/7200): Harrell is hot right now. In his last 4 games, he is averaging 35 DKPs/gm in 24.1 MPG. He gets a fantastic matchup against Deandre Ayton tonight. Harrell should easily see 30 minutes here. He will be able to dominate down low, making him an excellent all-format play on this slate. He is playable on both DK and FD.
Lou Williams (6800/6700): Sweet Lou has been lighting it up for the Clippers recently. He has scored over 36 DKPs in 5 of his last 7 games, with 4 of those efforts being over 40. He is basically the man for the Clippers with the 2nd unit, and he closes out games too. As long as Lou keeps being Sweet, he’ll keep getting the minutes. A matchup against the Suns offers little resistance to Lou’s scoring ability. He’ll be on fire tonight. He’s a core all-format play on both FD and DK.
Tyler Johnson (4900/5300): Tyler Johnson continues to handle backup PG duties the Heat and leads the 2nd unit. He has been solid since Dragic went down. There’s nothing flashy about what Johnson does, having a hand in almost everything. He is averaging 27.4 DKPs in 26.3 MPG in his last 4. The matchup today against the Wizards is an excellent one for Johnson, look to him to make the most of it. He is a preferred play on FD where he is cheaper, but you can make the case for using him even on DK where he should hit 5-6x value.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (4500/4900): If the last two games are any indication, the KCP of 2017-2018 might be making an appearance. With injury depleting the Lakers, they have had to rely more on KCP. The increased minutes and usage, have translated into a lot of fantasy goodness. He has put up 36.1 and 36.6 FDPs in his last two games. With this kind of production and the matchup against the Knicks, KCP is just too cheap on both sites, especially on FD. He is an easy plugin here as he represents immense value, especially on FD.

GPP PLAYS
Derrick Jones Jr. (3900/4700): Derrick Jones Jr. continues to perform when given the opportunities, and the Heat have decided to feed him. In the last 8 games, Jones has received over 20 minutes, he is averaging 32.4 FDPs in 28.3 MPG. In 6 out of those 8, he has scored over 30 FDPs. At just 3900 on FD, he is a lock there in the drop score format. Even at 4700 on DK, you can’t ignore his production, especially since he’ll be playing against a Wizards team that just can’t stop any bigs at the moment. Derrick Jones Jr. is a GPP play on DK and an all-format play on FD.
Jae Crowder (4800/4700): Crowder is a hit or miss option these days. His inconsistency is a little alarming. However, he is in a good spot today against the Cavs and his upside is tremendous. When his 3s are falling, he can win you a GPP. At his price, he is a viable option for people who are MMEing today. This is a strictly GPP play on both sites.
Alec Burks (4500/4400): Burks gets the revenge narrative story, not that I buy too much into it. More importantly, Burks is currently playing good minutes for the Cavs. He is playing high 20s to low 30 MPG. You can expect him to see around 30 minutes tonight and he has made the most of those minutes. He is cheap on both sites for his minutes, and should he get hot, watch out! GPP only play here!
Ed Davis (4400/3700): Finally, Ed Davis rounds out the group today. He is a cheap GPP punt play. He is a drop-score candidate on FD, and at just 3700 on DK, it won’t take much for him to make value. I wrote up Davis last time out, and all he did was go out and put 30.3 FDPs in just 16 minutes. Today, with RHJ still out, Davis will get some run, hopefully in the 20-25 minutes range. His size will be needed against the Grizzlies today. He is an excellent GPP value play on both sites.
