DFS NBA Lineup Strategies – Blande’s 6th Man – Draftkings and Fanduel Advice Dec 2nd

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande . I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army. It’s another Sunday and we have two “main” slates to cover on both sites. The two-game early slate and the four-game main slate. Both slates today are exciting with the need for good value undeniable. There are some excellent 6th Men awaiting the opportunity to explode tonight. Let’s go ahead and cover them. Pricing is FD/DK.

EARLY SLATE

Elie Okobo (4400/3900): In the two games Canaan has been gone, Okobo has seen 32 and 28 minutes. He has solidified his hold on that backup guard spot and will be a part of the Suns rotation. Today he faces a Lakers team that keeps bleeding points to guards. He is still cheap on both sites for the minutes he brings. Add in the good matchup and he makes for an excellent all-format play.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (4000/3500): Since Rondo went down with injury, KCP has seen an increase in minutes and usage off the bench. With his shot finally falling a little, he has generally translated these increases into fantasy value. Today against a Suns team that just can’t defend anyone, look to KCP to be a spark off the bench. He is still inconsistent, making him a better play on FD as a drop score.

MAIN SLATE

CORE PLAYS

Montrezl Harrell (8800/7700): Harrell is expensive on both sites. It is increasingly difficult to roster him at that price given his recent performance. That said, he gets a matchup he can exploit tonight. He’ll spend most of his time facing off against Jordan and other bigs who really can’t cover him. The matchup alone warrants a look at Harrell, and the possibility of him being low-owned makes him an exciting play.

Bam Adebayo (4600/4300): Adebayo has been on fire recently. Scoring above 20 FDPs in 6 of 7, with 3 of those being above 30 (including a 50.7 showing). All of this while averaging around 22 MPG in that span. Today he gets a matchup against a Jazz team that has been exploited by bigs this year. For his price, I love his outlook in this matchup. His consistency over the last few games makes him playable even in cash games. He is a core all-format value play today.

GPP PLAYS

Kelly Olynyk (3700/3600): As mentioned above, the Jazz have been susceptible to bigs this season. Olynyk is extremely cheap today and while his floor is extremely low, he has a high enough ceiling to blow through value. I like him as a GPP play on FD with the drop-one format.

Mike Muscala (3800/3700): Since returning from an early November absence, Muscala has been averaging 25+ minutes a game. While he has not been extremely productive with these minutes, he has shown his upside in a few of the games. In a matchup today against a Grizzlies team that defends the paint well, Muscala could be needed by the 76ers to help break down this defense. It’s not an easy matchup, but for his price, it doesn’t take much to exceed value and the salary relief could be useful. He is a GPP play on both sites.

Devin Harris (4200/3300): I loved Harris against the Lakers and he went straight ahead and laid a dud. Today I’m going straight back to Harris. He has been up and down since returning from injury, but the upside is there. Against the surprising Clippers who are atop the Western Conference, the Mavericks will need all the scoring they can get to keep up. Enter Devin Harris who can score in bunches. He benefits from coming off the bench and so should avoid the core defensive core of the Clippers. I love him in GPPs on both sites.
