Slate Overview:

Here are some notes on the Saturday evening and afterhours slates. There are 7 games on DraftKings and 15 games on FanDuel starting at 7pm ET, and I will try to indicate the FD only plays throughout this article. Hope everyone has a great Saturday watching college football and may your screens be green!

QB

Wow, the stars come out on tonight’s slate!

DraftKings

King and Murray, if you can fit them, great, as they are two of the best QBs in the country. I think that Texas Tech QB Alan Bowman (9000 DK/9600 FD) is a good place to start in cash games to give you some balance. Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa (8800 DK)  will likely have his toughest test of the season and may end up getting his 1st 4th quarter snaps of the year, and I don’t want to miss getting the presumptive Heisman winner at a reduced price, when he should play the whole way.

Northwestern’s Clayton Thorson (6400 DK/8000 FD) is interesting on DK. I like him to reach value. I’d rather a little more for SMU QB Ben Hicks (7100) who faces a Houston defense giving up 324.8 passing yards per game.

FanDuel

I’m more inclined to pay for D’Riq King (10800 FD) and Kyler Murray (10600 FD) were the price difference isn’t as drastic.  Bowman (9600 FD) and  Tua (9900 FD) are viable pivots as well.  Thorson and Hicks are okay as spend downs, and FIU QB James Morgan (7900 FD) has been playing very well for FIU

AfterHours

Fresno State QB Marcus McMaryion is my top priority against a lousy UNLV team. I don’t have a strong preference for a QB2, so I might take a skill player in the SuperFlex

RB

DraftKings

My top play is UCLA RB Joshua Kelley (7000 DK), who still made some hay against a very tough Utah defense and now gets a better matchup versus Oregon. I also like Oregon’s CJ Verdell  (7300 DK/8600 FD) to bounceback versus a suspect UCLA defense. My other interests are Oklahoma’s RB tandem of Trey Sermon (5200 DK/8600 FD and Kennedy Brooks (7200 DK/8200 FD). Northwestern’s Isaiah Bowser (5300 DK/7000 FD) is interesting, but doesn’t feel as safe as Sermon.

FanDuel

My top priority here is FAU RB Devon Singletary (9600 FD), who is one of the country’s best, going up against FIU, in which should be a tightly contested game.  San Diego State RB Juwan Washington (7000 FD) won’t start, but he will return to action, and I like him at that reduced price. Verdell, Sermon, Brooks, and Bowser are also good plays too.

After Hours

I like Fresno State’s Ronnie Rivers, UNLV’s Lex Thomas, and taking Cal’s Patrick Laird at a reduced price.

WR

FanDuel and DraftKings

My top priority is Jaylon Redd (5100 DK/7400) with Dillon Mitchell in concussion protocol.

If you can’t get up to King, I love his receivers. Courtney Lark is very questionable which opens things up for #1 target Marquez Stevenson (8300 DK/9800 FD) . It doesn’t end with Stevenson, as it could be a bounceback spot for Keith Corbin (6000 DK/8500 FD) , Jeremy Singleton (4100DK/ 5900 FD), and Raelon Singleton (3200 DK/4400 FD). Of these three, I’d probably rank them in that order.  Don’t be afraid to run in back with SMU’s Reggie Roberson Jr. (6500 DK/8100 FD). Any of the Oklahoma and Texas main receivers are fine as well.

After Hours: It will be popular, but I don’t mind stacking BSU’s Hightower and Richardson. My other favorite plays oare UNLV’s Tyleek Collins, USC’s Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Washington State’s Easop Winston Jr.
