This slate is very different as the only big six teams on the card are playing each other in the late game with the better team on the road. So that leaves us to find some value in places we generally don’t, let’s get to it. Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton)
DraftKings: $9.6k M/F | FanDuel: 10.0k M
Yep, he’ll be chalk but I’m 100% eating it. Sigurdsson has been throwing up double-digits pretty consistently and is the primary play maker for the largest favorite on the slate. Plenty of crossing and free kicks to be had aside from Brighton’s leaky defense providing goal/assist upside. Sorry my first pick isn’t a surprise but forward is especially tough this week and he’s eligible there on DraftKings so he’s firmly in the center of my radar.
James Maddison (Leicester)
DraftKings: $8.9k M | FanDuel: 9.0k M
I love me a good floor play and James Maddison against one of the worst teams in the EPL absolutely fits the bill. And against that Cardiff defense anyone who has as much of the ball as Maddison also has a ceiling. Before you get rolling, I get that I’ve started this article with chalk-chalk but identifying the good chalk is always important and I think some people may be tempted to jam in the overpriced GPP worthy names that play in the late slate. Liverpool and Arsenal could work out in a high scoring game but again, in cash games, give me the floor of Siggy and Maddison.
Robbie Brady (Burnley)
DraftKings: $5.2k M | FanDuel: $5.5k M
The return of Robbie Brady starting last week does two things: presents an interesting mid-range midfield option and massively hurts the value of Gudmundsson. Brady shoots and puts in open play crosses as well as having a role on set pieces. Honestly the most appealing thing about Brady is the price for his floor so if better options open up Saturday morning I won’t hesitate to pivot. Make sure to be in chat before lock.
Lucas Digne (Everton)
DraftKings: $6.9 D | FanDuel: $5.5k D
Back to the well with Everton and a guy who throws in cross after cross in Lucas Digne. Digne has compiled double-digit crosses in four of five games and also takes a couple set pieces for Everton. With Everton as the largest favorite of the slate and Holebas not projected to play, I have no problem taking an extra piece of Everton and paying down elsewhere. You also get the added bonus of potential clean sheet points so if he fits into my constructions, especially on DK, fire up some Digne.
