DFS NBA Lineup Strategies – Blande’s 6th Man – Draftkings and Fanduel Advice Nov 12th

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande . I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army. We have a huge slate tonight, with a lot of value on it. There are a lot of low priced players in starting lineups tonight and you can expect them to be chalky. While this limits the appeal of 6th Men in Cash games, they become more appealing in GPPs, where they make excellent pivots off the chalky cheap plays. Remember 6th Men, in general, are better used in GPPs. However, we do have some core plays tonight who can be utilized in all formats. Don’t be scared to use them. Pricing is FD/DK. Let’s dive in!

CORE

Montrezl Harrell (6500/5600): Harrell has just been phenomenal this season and especially over his last five games. His price has been steadily increasing, but the consistency and upside he brings, especially in a matchup against the hurting Warriors right now is undeniable. He’ll an all-format play tonight.

Serge Ibaka (6600/6000): Mr. Consistency himself gets a prime matchup against the defensively challenged Pelicans. This is almost cheating putting him here since there is a possibility he starts, but I’ll go with him coming off the bench tonight. I love everything about Ibaka here. He’s getting the minutes and the matchup is excellent. He’s playable in all formats.

Shelvin Mack (4200/3900): In his last six games, Mack has put up 31.4, 27.7, 38.2, 26.7, 10, and 22.3 FDPs. In all these games, he has seen over 20 minutes, except for the 10-point game. Mack is getting minutes and he is performing with them. At his price, he is meeting value this season and far exceeding it. He gets to face his former team tonight adding some extra motivation. I love his upside in GPPs, and I can see someone using him in hybrid and even cash lineups as well.

GPP PLAYS

Jae Crowder (5400/5200): Crowder gets a matchup against the Grizzlies here tonight. This is the kind of game Crowder is built for, one where he can stretch the floor and use his full skill set. He’s been really the forgotten man for the Jazz this season. Now if his threes start falling tonight, look out. He’s a nice GPP play.

T.J. McConnell (3900/3800): With the recent trade, there’s a lot of minutes and usage to go around on this 76ers team. Last game, we saw McConnell step up and claim a huge chunk of that. Until Jinny Butler is ready to start playing, there’ll be an opportunity here for McConnell, and he will take it.

Terrence Ross (4600/5100): Here’s the thing about Ross, he won’t blow you out of the water with his upside, however he has been really consistent off the bench this season, and his floor is relatively stable. If you are looking for a safe cheap SG tonight, Ross is one of the plays. Just don’t go expecting him to dazzle you. He’s a border line cash play and is definitely in play in hybrid lines. Ross is a little too expensive for my liking on DK though.
