Sniper’s Slide Tackle – EPL Player Picks for October 6

It’s a been week of crushing for VIPs as we rolled through EPL and Champiomd League last week. We are back to a six game slate for Saturday and there’s only one massive favorite to talk about. The Slide Tackle is now for VIPs only and includes four players I’m targeting heading into that crucial period before lineups are released. Make sure you’re around in Slack Chat when that happens (about an hour before kick-off) as that’s when there is the biggest edge and when TreyJ will drop our full list of plays.

One last thing – if you don’t already, please give me a follow on Twitter @theDFSniper

Harry Kane (Tottenham)
DraftKings: $11.1k F | FanDuel: $13.0k F

Yeah, I know in all the training materials and in Slack I preach about the danger of goal dependent forwards, but here we are.  This is literally going to be the best Harry Kane spot of the year as he’s home against the worst team in the EPL, Cardiff. I honestly expected Kane to be even higher priced and he’s cash viable for two reasons, slate texture and ownership. With no Man City, Chelsea, or Liverpool on the slate and Man U being in shambles right now, Kane becomes the only real stud on the slate. Add in his massive goal scoring odds plus an ownership I expect to be over 70% and I’m likely going to be heavily invested in all formats though I can understand the GPP fade for game theory.

Johan Berg Gudmundsson (Burnley)
DraftKings: $9.1k M/F | FanDuel: 7.5k M

I said it last week and I’ll say it again, Johan Berg Gudmundsson (JBG) is basically all of Burnley’s offense. If you’re not playing Kane you need to be playing JBG and if enough value opens up in the morning, I’ll be looking to play both. Burnley is a +105 favorite to Huddersfield, another team likely to be relegated. The price is a little high for me on DK but with JBG’s near monopoly on set pieces it’s not outrageous. I think he’s a better value in this matchup for FanDuel as he’s likely part of anything Burnley does on the score sheet.

Jose Holebas (Watford)

DraftKings: $6.7 D | FanDuel: $6.0 D

I bet you were expecting Kieran Trippier here and while he’s certainly viable, he’s getting pricey. You get a nice little discount on the floor for Holebas who is home to Bournemouth. Holebas has thrown in double digit crosses in four of his last five and I expect a similar performance in an open game on Saturday. I will say that I like Trippier a little more for you FanDuel players.

Martin Dubravka (Newcastle) | Hugo Lloris (Tottenham)

Dubravka DraftKings: $3.8k GK | Lloris FanDuel: $4.0k GK

Wow this article is out of the norm because while I do believe goalkeeper to be super variant, I have heavy leans towards both of these plays. With Dubravka it’s purely savings as he’s super cheap and facing a team that I know I’ll have basically no exposure to in the late game, spin the wheel! Lloris is a misprice as he’s expected to return from injury for the massively favored Tottenham but is priced like he’s still out. Thanks for the freebie, FanDuel.

That’s it for today, remember to be in Slack Saturday morning as myself and Trey will be providing updates and our player pools when lineups are released!
