NFL Fanduel and DraftKings Value Report for Week 5 by xBenJamminx

Value Report

We know that value is extremely important for DFS and evaluating players, but it’s not just about the value of the player on the site you’re playing on, but his value in comparison to other sites and where he presents the greater bargain.

I’m going to present value in a couple different ways that should give us quick glances on not just who to play, but on which site.

I’ll be using information found on the Research Station that I and CeeGee developed which can be found here for all VIP Members.

We’ll be looking at the difference in salary cap% of players from FanDuel<->DraftKings as well as which player’s prices dropped from last week to this week.

The Salary Cap for Fanduel is $60,000 and for DraftKings it’s $50,000.

Example: Player A costs $6,000 on FD, which is 10% of the Salary Cap. Whereas Player A who is $6,000 on DraftKings is 12% of the cap.

On the Research Station, this # would be shown as -2% on the FD sheets and 2% on the DK Sheets. So he is discounted by 2% of the Salary cap on FD compared to DK.

So if you wanted to play this player, he would be a better bargain (based only on salary) on Fanduel. Sometimes on DK the price increase is necessary because of the difference in scoring. If a player is a much better receiver, he should be more expensive on DK because their scoring system has 1 PPR while FD has .5 PPR, making him more valuable on DK.

These are all the players who are a lower % of their salary cap on FD compared to DK and visa versa. When you combine the bargain value, with the fact that some of their salaries have decreased from last week, we can find some decent value here.
