Slate Overview:

Here are some notes on the Saturday evening and after hours slates. There are 7 games on DraftKings and 12 games on FanDuel starting at 7pm ET, and I will try to indicate the FD only plays throughout this article. Hope everyone has a great Saturday watching college football and may your screens be green!

QB

Another slate, another UCF QB McKenzie Milton (10300 DK/10200 FD) as the top play with the Golden Knights implied for a slate-leading 43 points.  Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins (10500 DK/10600 FD) is a slight slight step below for me).

On the other side of Haskins is Purdue QB David Blough (7600 DK/8700 FD), Blough has absolutely crushed versus sub-par competition, but Ohio State has given up a lot of big plays on the season. Ohio State held a true freshman Zack Annexstad in check, last week, but at this point in their careers, the 5th-year senior Blough is far better and he is working under one of the best offensive minds in the country in Coach Jeff Brohm.

In GPPs, I am very intrigued by South Florida QB Blake Barnett (9100 DK/9100 FD) as I think people will want to find the extra for Milton, Haskins, or even Minshew even though Barnett has a dream matchup against UConn, the worst FBS defensive unit in the country per Football Outsiders’ defensive S&P metric. I even like a game stack. Look, no one is ever going to build a statue of UConn QB David Pindall (5000 DK), but at 5,000 you can do a lot of damage with your lineup.

Another interesting game stack on FD is the Conference USA West Division Showdown between North Texas and UAB, which most players will overlook. North Texas QB Mason Fine (9000 FD) and UAB QB AJ Erdely (8500 FD). For those unfamiliar with UAB’s football odyssey, it is a pretty amazing story as the administration terminated the football program in 2014 and there was no UAB football for two years. Last year, in their first year back as a reinstated program, UAB won 8 games and this year, with a win against North Texas, they would be firmly in control of the CUSA West.

After seeing Tyler Huntley shred Arizona and UCLA 8 point favorites UCLA QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson (7500 FD Late/After hours) has my interest in GPPs

After Hours: My favorite combination right now is McDonald/ Thompson-Robinson. McDonald has been money at home and they sit as three-point favorite at the time of the writing. In Afterhours GPPs on both sites, it may make sense to use a RB/WR at S-Flex.

DFS Army isn’t only about CFB.  We have accrued a track record for the ages through our content, tools, and coaching advice.  Some members hit the ground running their first day, like KBiggz here…

Yes, you see it correctly.  KBiggz joined his first morning, read through Geek’s Picks, the coaching channels, and assembled this winner that was less than one point away from taking down the cool $1,000,000 first prize.  Not that $200,000 is anything to sneeze at.  Our CFB coaches are working hard all week to bring you great content to also position yourself in those contests, as well.  It’s only a matter of time before army helmets are popping all over those leaderboards, too.

RB

FanDuel

Very nice slate of running backs tonight. At the top tier, USF RB Jordan Cronkrite (9200 DK/10000 FD) is the clear top priced back, followed by Kentucky RB Benny Snell (8100 DK/9900 FD). The next back for me is Oregon RB CJ Verdell (7600 DK/9000 FD), who has been on fire with 100 yards rushing in three straight games.

On FD, I will be spending up on RB as I believe there are several viable 7k WR options that will allow for the necessary salary relief.

DraftKings

I like Cronkrite, Snell, and Verdell too on DraftKings, but  Washington State RB James Williams (6100 DK) is my top per dollar play on DK. I will only be rostering Williams on DK as I like the previously indicated trio of backs better.

I also like his backfield mate Max Borghi (4700 DK) as a flex option. Another viable flex play comes from the other side of the game, with Oregon true freshman RB Travis Dye (4800 DK), who has

Afterhours: Not great options, but I like UCLA’s Josh Kelley getting all the carries he can handle, and taking some savings with Dayton Furuta. I’m off Arizona (very poor since Oregon State) and SJSU’s run games which have not been good thus far.

WR

Purdue WR Rondale Moore (8300 DK/9200 FD) just does not stop making plays, although Ohio State will be the best defense he has faced in his young career. After a fairly pedestrian game, I love the price of Ohio State WR Parris Campbell (6900 DK/9700 FD)

The mid-range/value tier is loaded this week. Another play from the OSU/Purdue game I like is Purdue WR Isaac Zico (5600 DK/7200 FD). Moving onto the SEC, I am interested in LSU WR Justin Jefferson (5100 DK/7000 FD). LSU’s offense has been respectable this year and  Jefferson is been the favorite target of QB Joe Burrow.  Another personal favorite on FD is Utah WR Britain Covey (7600 FD) who is still waiting on his first receiving/rushing TD after recording a pass TD on a trick play last week.

USF WR Darnell Salomon (4700 DK) is still priced down. He had a mediocre game last week, his first week back from injury, but this is a great price for getting exposure to South Florida. Another cheap piece of exposure to the USF offense is  USF TE Mitchell Wilcox  (4800 DK

Afterhours: Outside of the top guys, JoJo Ward is a cheap way to get exposure to the Hawaii offense. I am interested in Shun Brown, who is a solid cash play and Cedric Pederson, who seems to have the eye of new QB Rhett Rodriguez.
