Multi Entry 20 Max on Draftkings

Multi Entering with 20 Lineups on Draftkings.

Welcome back to a look into multi entering contests.  If you missed the first article you can find it here (150 MME).  In that article, I go over 150 max entering and look into how you find that longshot win.  While there are ways to mass enter and not break the bank, they are still not for everyone.  That is where Draftkings 20 max comes in to save the day.  Fanduel also has options where you enter a max of 50 or 100 lineups.  The reason I am focusing on Draftkings is that their 20-max entry is a different kind of contest.  The 50 and 100 max are much closer to the 150 max entry.

What do you mean by 20-max?

Twenty max contests are still a long shot GPP but they are much more budget friendly and fair because everyone has a max chance of 20 lineups.  A $1.00 contest can still have $20,000 payout to first but only cost you $20.00.  Any $100 a week budget can easily 80/20 split and have a chance to win the big prize while using cash to cover your losses.  You also do not need to hit the top 10 as much as you do in 150 max contests. I still say you really should be aiming for top 10 or else just focus on single entry GPPs but if you like to build lineups and want to buy a lottery ticket the 20 max fits that bill.

How to build your 20 max lineups

If you enjoy building multiple lineups by hand and want to put them into GPP 20 max may be for you.  Twenty max allow for optimizer or hand built.  Which gives the player great versatility.  Optimizers help you spread out the plays with an unbiased look, but hand building can help make sure the whole lineup is correlated with the other picks.  Another great way to do it is hand build the core and have the optimizer randomize the punts.  Start by locking in your must-have plays. Then give the optimizer your punt options and select how many lineups you want.  Finally, click 3 or 4 uniques and click run.  If your optimizer doesn’t have unique, I suggest joining the DFS Army and gain access to the Domination Station.

Only 20 lineups mean risk but build smart.

When building for a contest with 200,000 lineups we need to hit gold much like the 150 max.  The difference is we cannot plan for every situation.  Doing a 20 max is for people who like to delve deep into data or who really like to predict game flow.  Winning is still going to require some long shot picks.  If you like to dive deep into research and data that could give you a major edge.  Overall if you really enjoy diving into data to find that long shot player 20 max is perfect for that.   If you are into predicting game flow you could find a gem who could boost the lineup.  20 max might not be for you if you want to build chalky lineups those are better for single entry where chalky can still be viable.

When building for a 20 max there is even a strategy where you build all 20 lineups around a small number of punt players.  Instead of building your studs and then putting in punts.  Figure out which punts are able to have those once a season game.  Put those players as your core and then put the studs in around them.  When you are wrong you will most likely bust, but when you are right you have the best chance for those punts to team with the right studs.  This is my favorite way to 20 max.

What if you are not into data or game flow?

If you are not sure how you will break down game scripts or into data diving you may feel like 20 max isn’t an option.  I have an alternate option for you.  If you join the DFS Army you will actually have people breaking down the games and helping you understand all sorts of data that is broken down for you.  Slack runs close to 24 hours a day with different people talking sports and helping each other.  If you want to ask one of our coaches or pros you get that too.  Our staff is built to help you build your lineups each week and in so many sports.  There is now also a Slack free option at a lower price. Either option can save you 10% each month with promo code KICKERS. Need further convincing look at these happy members and ask yourself why are you waiting?

What makes a great punt.

My personal favorite punts are the players who have left a bad taste in other peoples mouths.  Players who are on bad teams but are going to be heavily used are almost always under-owned.  They are often lower priced than their potential production and in the right situations, they make great plays.  Those players who have had a poor performance the week before, but can bounce back can also make solid punt options.  Again these players tend to be lower owned but situations might be changed.  I am going to break this down further.

Week 4 WR John Smith is going against North American Fish Tails.  The Fish Tails have an overall ranking against WR of 27 (remember higher is the better target).  If we look further into the Fish Tails we discover they give up 90% of their yards to the WR 2 and 3.  John Smith is a WR 1 and was facing a shutdown corner which resulted in them having a low scoring week.  Most DFSers simply look at the 27 and roster John Smith.  Then in week 5, John Smith is going to face a team with an overall ranking of 17.  Those same players see a harder match up and don’t use Smith at all.  In week 5 though maybe that team is weak to WR1 but no one else. Maybe that team has an injury and Smith will have an easier matchup than normal.

The point is you can delve into the data and help find punts that others overlook.  You can focus on game scripts and find players who are normally overlooked but will find themselves in an elevated role.  Those players who are deep threats who face a week secondary may not get many targets most weeks, but in that favorable matchup, they could see an increase.  If they get 2 or 3 catches and are able to go long for a big touchdown it leaves a major score.

Now you know 20 max what’s left?

I hope you have found a new way to look at 20 max entries on Draftkings.  I do like the fact that the player gets to compete on a limited count against others.  It is a great limited price compared to 150 max which can open it up to more players.  Just remember that these contests are not going to be easy to win.  They require a strong bankroll management.  In my final piece, I am going to write all about entering leagues with multi-entry strategy.  This piece will be a VIP only if you want to find out about my favorite multi-entry system and gain access to everything else VIP join today and use promo code KICKERS to save that 10%.
