We have three games on the early slate today on both sites. Let’s dive into the rundown!
Atlanta Dream @ New York Liberty
The key area to target for the Dream is their guards. Tiffany Hayes, Alex Bentley and Brittney Sykes are the top guard targets here. All three of them are playable in all formats. Renee Montgomery is a strictly GPP play today due to inconsistency and potential high ownership. I’ll personally be fading her. Elizabeth Williams is in a neutral matchup and makes for a Cash play due to her consistency. I have little interest in Jessica Breland because of the matchup, but I understand having a share or two of her in GPPs.
Tina Charles is the key for the Liberty. We are well aware of her inconsistency, relegating her to GPP status today. I love Amanda Zahui B here, especially if Kia Vaughn misses this game. Watch for the news. The only Liberty guards of interest today are Kia Nurse and Sugar Rodgers. Nurse and Rodgers are in good spots, and they get the most minutes currently in this Liberty rotation. I have little interest in the other guards, especially anyone who plays at SG.
Chicago Sky @ Connecticut Sun
This two played just two days ago and the analysis is the same as it was then. Let others chase Courtney Vandersloot’s big game. This is still a brutal matchup and she is getting up there in price. Stefanie Dolson is in an exploitable matchup, but her inconsistency makes it hard to roster her. She is usable in limited fashion in GPPs. Diamond DeShields is an interesting GPP play today. She’s a little too expensive but is capable of exploiting this matchup today. I have no interest in guards against the Sun. You can always use Allie Quigley and Courtney Vandersloot in GPPs, just remember it’s a brutal matchup. Finally, Cheyenne Parker and Alaina Coates make for decent GPP punt plays.
The Sun look to revenge their loss against the Sky. Jonquel Jones and Chiney Ogwumike are prime targets to take advantage of the shaky defense of Stefanie Dolson. Both are strictly GPP plays due to their limited minutes. Alyssa Thomas is an all format play in this juicy matchup. Courtney Williams and Jasmine Thomas are in great spots, and playable in all formats. Williams fares better on the road than Thomas, so she is the better play of the two tonight. Finally, Morgan Tuck makes for a cheap GPP punt.
Dallas Wings @ Washington Mystics
The question is whether Liz Cambage is good to go today. The Cambage news changes everything in this game. Kayla Thornton is playable in all formats with or without Cambage. Theresa Plaisance and Azura Stevens are interesting GPP plays. I have no interest in Skylar Diggins-Smith. She is too expensive and in a brutal matchup. Finally, Allisha Gray is playable as a shot in the dark in GPPs.
Elena Delle Donne is the top play for the Mystics. Cambage playing will reduce the upside of Delle Donne, so keep watch for the news. I love LaToya Sanders today. She is on a hot streak right now and can exploit this matchup. It gets even better if Cambage misses the game. The upside of Ariel Atkins has been dramatically reduced with the arrival of Aerial Powers. Atkins makes for a good Cash play today due to her floor, while Powers is the preferred GPP play. Finally, Kristi Toliver makes for a wonderful all format guard play today in this juicy matchup.
