The Sway Bar: NASCAR DFS Fades and Values for Chicagoland 2018

UPDATE: Martin Truex Jr, Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson and CHris Buesher will all start from the back. This makes them all super valuable and super chalky.

The windy city is HOT this weekend, and hopefully our picks are too. Heads up, this weeks article will be a bit condensed, as I am fighting a nasty case of the flu. Lets get right to it. As always, the research is just getting started, so think about getting signed up and get exclusive access to our projection model, the domination station lineup optimizer, and most importantly, direct chat room access to some of the sharpest NASCAR minds in the industry. I will be on there all weekend updating everyone on my research.

Top Plays

Kyle Larson – Larson had a tough week a Sonoma, but he is back in his element – high wide and handsome at Chicago. Larson rolls of 20th, but has a top 3 car. As close to a lock as we will get this week.

Kevin Harvick – Harvick is usually boom or bust at Chicago. However, there hasn’t been much bust for Harvick in 2018. He starts 13th and no doubt has the fastest car this week.

Joey Logano – Captain consistent rolls of 14th this week, but all the Ford are showing ludicrous speed. Logano has a great record at Chicago, and seems to have some decent speed. This is a good way to get off the chalk.

Kyle Busch – Busch hasn’t shown much speed this weekend, but I don’t buy it. They will get that thing tuned up by the end of stage two and compete for a top 5. He starts 18th and RARLEY ends up outside the top ten here. Go for it.

Fades

I don’t love playing Byron or Menard this week. But they both seem to have speed, so it probably isnt a full fade.

Value Plays

Jamie McMurray – Chicago has been great to JMac the last few years, and he has a GREAT car this weekend. Can he compete with the Fords? Eh, maybe not. But he can compete for a top 7 against at 7th place starting spot.

Bubba Wallace – Bubba tends to race better than he qualifies, and he had some good speed in second practice. He rolls off 26th, but I see a top 20 day in his future.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr – This might be a bit of a reach, but the Fords are just so fast, I cant imagine Roush is that far off. A risky play for sure, but it could pay off.

So there it is folks. We will be talking more strategy on the DFS Army Slack Room right up until lock. Get signed up and get exclusive access to our projection model, the domination station lineup optimizer, and most importantly, direct chat room access to some of the sharpest NASCAR minds in the industry. As always, use my research as a launching point for yours. Trust your process, good luck this week, and let’s make some cash.
