Jaguar Lou’s Jamboree – 6/20

This article will be providing my top GPP plays. Before we start, a pack of Jaguars is called a Jamboree…There, does the name of the article make sense now? Good! I’m a funny guy, people call me funny Louie. Alright no one calls me funny Louie but regardless, here are my top early slate plays for Wednesday, June 20th.

Pitchers
Charlie Morton has the golden matchup against strikeout prone, low scoring, Tampa Bay Rays. His prior games vs. Tampa aren’t amazing but today’s will be. I think you can hedge with some Tampa Bay bats because the homerun ball does worry me. But Morton is my safest play with the highest projected upside. The Houston Astros are favored at -220 with a 9 O/U.
Other pitching option(s): David Price **Safe**(winds blowing in from left will help limit the long ball) & Nathan Eovaldi (Punt/GPP pitcher 2)

Stacks
The Washington Nationals have a great matchup against Andrew Cashner who owns a .294 batting average allowing five home runs in 109 at bats against the Nationals. Bryce Harper, Daniel Murphy, Anthony Rendon, and Adam Eaton are my favorite players in this stack. Andrew Cashner has allowed a 4.98 ERA on the season and simply doesn’t have the stuff to fool or over power these impressive batters. Although Cashner performed well against the Nationals in his last start against them which was on June 9, 2017, that was a year ago and he’s not the same pitcher. My stack is limited to these three players, while I will be considering a fourth National to complete a four-man stack, I think a one off is a better way to go for this 7-game main slate. The Washington Nationals are favored by -200 with a 9 O/U. This is an extremely high over, under for a team that is favored at 2 to 1.

Coors Field, what are we going to do about this Stadium? Another 11.5 O/U, tonight favoring Colorado by -115. I’m trusting in the Rockies tonight as their BvP stats are solid (despite small sample sizes) and they’re one of the hottest teams in the league. I’m surprised the -115 line isn’t -130. If you’re going to invest in Mets batters make sure to roster Conforto & Nimmo, the killer lefties but out of these two potential monsters, I’m liking the Rockies over the Mets.
Other stack option(s): Kansas City Royals

One-Off of the Day
Nolan Arenado is batting 3rd in Coors against Seth Lugo who has reverse splits allowing better numbers to opposing righties. Nolan Arenado is 2 for 4 with a double against Lugo. And Lugo isn’t the worst pitcher but in an 11.5 O/U in Coors Field, I think you’ll want Arenado in your lineups even if your not stacking the Rockies.

Value One-Off: Rosell Herrera
