Portugal v Morocco
Portugal rode Cristiano Ronaldo’s coat tails last game to escape with a draw against their rivals. Now they get a high-pressing Morocco team that has to push if they want to remotely have a shot at getting out of group. The fact that Portugal needs 3 points gives Morocco a puncher’s chance, as Portugal’s defense isn’t the strongest. Hakim Ziyech is the place to start for the underdogs. His job is to do everything and he will try to take the game into his own hands at times. He has a knack for firing lasers from outside the box. Sadly, this is where Morocco is at its most accurate. Ziyech is somewhat expensive and I expect him to be decently owned. If you want to play him I would lean towards cash. As a pivot, I would turn to the guy standing next to him, Younes Belhanda. With Amrabat unlikely to feature, he is the next best guy in terms of shot accuracy and shooting from distance.
For Portugal, All of the ownership will be on Cristiano Ronaldo. He was something like 19% owned when he banged in his hat trick last week. Now, he is the first game of the day. I expect him to be north of 60% ownership. I can guarantee that I will be underweight on the field. There is a chance we see Adrien Silva joining Ronaldo up top. If the Portugal mids can break the Morocco press, then I like Silva as a pivot off the CR7 chalk.
Uruguay v Saudi Arabia
Uruguay is a massive favorite against an opponent that has no defense to speak of. We aren’t going to spend a lot of time here. Luis Suarez is your cash forward with Edinson Cavani being the GPP play at forward. You can pair them with your favorite passing partner in GPP. I know who mine is but you will have to become a member and join slack to find out.

Spain v Iran
I liked the way Iran played last game. Very disciplined and very defensive and they look to wear you down until they can open up the offensive. The problem with that plan is that Spain can hurt you all over the pitch. The great part of the late game is everybody goes under-owned and it’s instant value. For my Fanduel lineups, I will have someone from the Iranian central defense in every lineup, cash and GPP. It’s up to you if you want to fade the late game or not but I will not be. There is goodness on both sides of the ball and Spain just might push you over the edge in your contests.
