Kickin’ it on the Pitch w/ TreyJ – Gameweek 38 EPL Soccer DFS for Draftkings & Fanduel

Well, here we are in the final week of the English soccer (football) season.  While much of the intrigue is lost in the week, it’s still one more chance to ball out. There will be plenty of honest effort, but keep in mind that some players may come in or come off so managers can get a look at some youngsters. Either way, it’s a great day to get some lineups in and celebrate your hard work, too.  Remember, though, this is not the end.  We will have content and articles for the World Cup soccer slates.  If you are not part of the Army, you’ll be missing out and chasing the action. World Cup is just part of the package because we do it all.

A month into the MLB season and the Army is on fire. We have the best optimizer in the game for MLB and a new and improved MLB Research Station. The Domination Station is STILL crushing for every sport and, by now, you can’t pretend like you don’t know who we are. We have added EVEN MORE coaches and more content for you. NASCAR and PGA are in full swing. The best aspect of your subscription continues to be the ever so popular slack chat where you have access to industry pros and specific DFS coaches. That is where the magic happens. Use promo code GOAL for 10% off your lifetime subscription ($36/mo after discount) and start taking your DFS game to the next level! You will get more here, for less, than anywhere else. Come be a part of the best team in the industry.

If you are still wary and wish to try before you buy, check out these options that could get you a free month of the DFS Army! You won’t be disappointed. The helmets on our crowded testimonials page on our website speak for themselves. We can make more room, though!

X’s and O’s

The only day that comes close to matching the mystique of the final day of the season is boxing day. Every team is in action at the same time. As such, I wanted to caution you about getting too overwhelmed with the roster construction.  You won’t be able to get everyone into one lineup so when you are doing your research and fine-tuning, draw lines in the sand.  Focus on a few teams that can put up a crooked number.  With such a big slate, you will need a lot of goals to take down a GPP.  This is not the day to focus on accumulators unless they have goal involvement upside (RE: can score or assist). When I say don’t focus on accumulators, I am speaking about those players that provide peripherals only and don’t shoot. If you don’t know how to draw these lines, that’s reason number 1 that you should be in slack with us.

Forwards

Harry Kane: I’m going to write him up again. Leicester has given up 40 of their last 48 shot from inside the box.  That’s Harry Kane’s world. You can use him in any format you wish, but he makes a nice GPP pivot. He is bordered by Liverpool on both sites and that should keep his ownership from getting out of hand.

Jordan Ayew: A common play will be Jordan Ayew.  He provides salary relief and plays on a team that should be extra hungry. Yes, they should have their bag packed and bus ready to head to the Championship League, but there is a chance they could pull off the improbable.  If they are to pull off the feat and remain, they will need a lot of help from Man City and a big day from someone who could give the Stoke back line some fits.

Midfielders

Mo Salah: He is the chalk. That given, he is usable in any format. Scoring record aspirations aside, it just so happens he is getting the perfect opponent to aide him. Did you see what City did to Brighton last week? That was no fluke.  For those in slack, we will not be accepting any Salah goal calls.

Juan Mata: He is somewhat quiet on the stat sheet but his underlying numbers say he puts himself in good spots and he is smart with the ball. Watford has been generous to mids on the wings.  This is obviously a GPP play but remember what I said about looking for teams who can put up a crooked number.

Defenders

Marcos Alonso: For you Fanduelers, he is still listed as a defender… a 6K defender. He is trending well, too.

Virgil Van Dijk: Brighton has been terrible in terms of defending defenders all season.  More defenders have scored than forwards when Brighton comes to town. I’ll let that sink in while I wrap this up.

There you have it.  This has been a little look inside the final gameweek. You might notice that I left out keepers this week.  I am saving my keeper picks (and the rest of my cash and GPP picks) for the DFS Army VIPs.  If you are not a VIP, scroll back up to the top of the article and follow the links.  You won’t be disappointed. We are the best game and best deal in town.  We have over 20 staff members for every sport and a dedicated member base all with the goal in mind of helping you take your game to the next level.

Before signing off, I would like to thank the slack channel for some fun times and a thank you goes out to the DFSniper for coming aboard and helping make our soccer product even better. He also does MMA for us. Check out his work on our website and on Twitter at @theDFSniper.

See everyone in a month for the world cup.
