NBA DFS Positional Breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings on Feb 27

It happened again, I can’t make this up. We had another $100,000 winner this past weekend! Make that 12 in the past three months!

We’ve had 12 different winners of $50,000 – $250,000 over the past several months, including another $100,000 winner on FanDuel! Life is good for our members and we’ve seen a 100% growth in the company and upped our staff to 26 strong, handsome, and brilliant members (massive embellishment there). It’s been quite a ride and the beautiful thing is that we have another three months of the NBA season to consistently grow our bankroll until MLB is here. Slow and steady wins the race as far as bankroll goes and that will be important for today’s slate of games.

You can read about them HERE at our Wall of Fame!

This column is an NBA and MLB daily article that we offer for our members. It’s full of relevant statistics, trends, analytics and analysis to get the DFS juices flowing nice and early in the morning. The plays and opinions, including specific GPP strategy, is broken down in detail in Slack chat by our 5-NBA DFS Coaches who all submit daily Slack notes close to lock time so that our members have up to the minute injury analysis.

For this freebie, I will give one or two plays at each position with research and analysis. The full positional breakdown is released daily to our members via our Slack Chat and on our website as a VIP article.

*NOTE* On Monday, it was one of the best GPP slates on the entire season. On the opposite end of the spectrum there is this Tuesday slate, where I think it’s the perfect cash game slate and pretty terrible for GPPs. It’s going to be a great day for the DFS Army “Ladder System” strategy to have massive ROI potential.

PG

Austin Rivers – He’s an excellent cash game option as the Clippers have a massive 114.0 points implied total. He’s priced at mid-5k which is right around where he is too pricey. However, in his six games since returning from injury, he’s scored 24-29 FanDuel points in five games. His usage rated of around 18% and subpar .80 FPM rate leaves a lot to be desired.

I wouldn’t blame you for wanting to pay up for Goran Dragic for our “Ladder System” and GPPs, as he’s a superb option at just $6,100 with a much higher ceiling. I give the edge to Rivers because of the implied total and matchup for cash games.

Tyler Johnson – This guy can’t get any love. His price tag is still sub-5k on FanDuel and we were paying $6,000 for him at one point this season. He’s clearly rounding back into form and has been playing really well as of late. He’s scored 34.70, 17.80, 27.20, 21.90 and 33.90 FanDuel points in the last five games. He’s scored double digit points in four of those games.

He’s under-priced and has legitimate 7-8x upside and won’t sink your lineup if he misses value by a few points.

SG

Lou Williams – He’s going to be a highly owned player in cash games tonight and shooting guard is LOADED on this slate. This is why I want to grab my exposure to Sweet Lou in cash games because in GPPs, I plan on targeting several players and rotating them through my lineups. This is a great position to mix and match a little game theory for GPPs on Tuesday.

Tyrone Wallace is a superb large field GPP option and I will discuss at length what to do with the rest of the stacked shooting guard position on our members only 1 on 1 coaches pre-game Slack Chat. Join up if you want the pro’s player pools and strategy for each slate!

SF

Wilson Chandler – It will be imperative that we watch the news and see if we can find anything about Paul Millsap returning. If he plays tonight, Barton, Chandler, Plumlee, and Lyles all will see a few minutes chopped off from their rotation which effectively would take them all out of cash and GPP consideration in my opinion.

If Millsap misses, Chandler will be a solid cash option as he has played 32-plus minutes in five straight games, resulting in five straight outings of 21-41 fantasy points on both DraftKings and FanDuel. This play is completely reliant on the Millsap news.

LeBron James – He’s one of only two guys I want to pay up for in cash games on Tuesday. The second one will be covered when I discuss the center position.

LeBron is playing massive minutes and has had a usage rate over 32% in four of the last five games. He’s scores 51-plus fantasy points on both DraftKings and FanDuel in seven straight games and his price tag has not risen at all over that game span.

PF

Tobias Harris – Coming off his 58 point fantasy outing his ownership might be a little higher than normal. However, his matchup is superb and he’ll be needed to score the basketball in what should be a high scoring affair with very little defense.

Harris has scored 33-plus fantasy points in six of the last eight games, including two games over 40 points and a season high of 58 against the Suns. He’s clearly in the zone with his new team and his price tag has not caught up to his recent production (44.5 PPG in the last three games).

C

Nikola Jokic – Along with LeBron James, he’s the only other player worth paying up for in cash games. Jokic is on fire as of late, scoring 21-plus real points in five straight games and over 52 fantasy points on both FanDuel and DraftKings in four straight games.

The Clippers are allowing opposing centers to make 55% of their field goal attempts and Jokic is already a very efficient player. He can rack up stats across multiple categories and with the Nuggets implied to score 118.0 points on Tuesday’s slate, he’s the premier option and the one guy I want to make sure I have exposure to in cash games above everyone else.

Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the dozen other premier plays, along with identifying those options I will provide specific designations as to what to use them in and what type of strategy to take if fading the chalk. There are also a couple very troubling issues some teams will have tonight with rest and travel concerns that could leave them looking like they’re playing with weights around their ankles. There is massive GPP appeal in those games and I cannot wait to break those down.

I’ll update my NOTES later in SLACK based on news cycle and do my “cash game” list again with an asterisk next to my cash game core to build around.

Best of luck,
