I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. This Saturday’s card is in Japan. What does that mean for us? It means contests lock very early Saturday morning. Please pay attention to that and be sure you have your lineups entered before you go to bed Friday night. This is also a fairly weird card in that many of these fights are fairly close. A really good idea in tournaments is to figure out a core of 3-4 fighters you like a build lineups off them. That way if your core goes off you have a good chance to do damage in tournaments.

First off, congratulations to DFS Army VIP Member kdmyrick71 on this huge $103,000 win in NBA earlier this week on FanDuel. He used the DFS Army Domination Station lineup optimizer and won life changing money. Check it out.
Last week we had a big MMA win as well! DFS Army VIP Member comicstud took down 1st place in the MMA $125k Fight to the Finish Qualifier landing him a spot in this great MMA final!
If you have any questions reach out to me in in Slack Chat. Also, don’t forget to use our great tool the MMA Research Station and be sure to follow me on Twitter! Let’s get down to breaking down this funky card.
Asker (-260) 9.2k vs Yaozong (+220) 7k
This isn’t a fight I am super interested in. Asker isn’t that good of a fighter at all. The 1 area he excels at most would be his ground and pound. Yaozong is taking this fight on very short notice (5 days). The 1 thing he likes to do in his fights is to grind with his opponent against the cage. Asker is priced too high for my liking. I won’t have many lineups with him because I like other fighters around him more. Yaozong I have a tad more interest in just because of the salary savings (I do see it fairly unlikely he wins). This is only a fight I would target if you are building more then 10-12 lineups.
Dy (-160) 8.7k vs Buren (+140) 7.5k
This is another fight I am not excited about. Dy is a fairly decent striker who can be aggressive at times. Buren is decent with his takedowns but nothing stands out to me really about him. He is also a very low output striker. Dy is definitely the more experienced fighter here. Dy is my preferred play in this fight. I will most likely be fading Buren altogether.
Mazany (-135) 8.4k vs Yanan (+115) 7.8k
Mazany isn’t a very good fighter at all and she has only had 2 fights in the last 3 years. She also has a very poor grappling game. Yanan is a good all-around fighter. She is a solid striker with good power. She is also aggressive in her fights. I also like the fact that she has strong ground and pound. I won’t have many lineups with Mazany unless I am looking to hedge my lineups. I think Yanan is a live dog and can be used in all formats if you choose to. A quick note this is not a fight I will be going all in on.
Abdurakhimov (-135) 8.2k vs Sherman (+115) 8k
First off this is a heavyweight fight so anything can happen. Abdurakhimov is a good striker and wrestler. He also throws at a good volume. Sherman has shown he is a tough fighter. He has solid leg kicks that he likes to use often. He can be hit. I don’t like either fighter in cash. I also don’t know how much Sherman I want either. I think he could be decently owned. Mainly because of his presence on social media (the general public knows who he is). I want some exposure with Abdurakhimov, if he wins he has more upside then Sherman I feel. Again not a fight to target in cash!

Yadong (-145) 8.6k vs Kandare (+125) 7.6k
Yadong is taking this fight on short notice. He is a decent striker that is ok on the feet. He also has a fairly good takedown defense. Kandare is not really good anywhere. I also noticed he tends to leave his chin out a lot. I don’t mind Yadong in tournaments. I also don’t mind Kandare as a Gpp dart.
Xiaonan (-150) 7.9k vs Curran (+130) 8.3k
Just off value alone I love Xiaonan in cash. First, she trains out of Jackson-Wink. She is a good striker with decent power. She also has good kicks. I also like that she is an aggressive fighter and is high output. Curran is an ok striker that isn’t really good anywhere. She also can be taken down fairly easy. I also like targeting this fight in tournaments. Whichever fighter wins they should score fairly well. I personally will have more lineups with Xiaonan. But, don’t get me wrong I will have some exposure to Curran as well.
Nash (-310) 9.1k vs Kenan (+255) 7.1k
Nash is a good striker with power to go along with it. He was also a D1 wrestler in college. Kenan is coming into this fight having lost his last 2. He isn’t really good anywhere. Let’s make this simple. I like Nash in all formats. The big issue you will find is deciding which high priced fighters to use. We can only fit so many. I will also add that Nash has a pretty solid floor with his wrestling. Meaning that even if this fight goes to decision. He should still be able to score with takedowns and advances.
Magomedsharipov (-500) 9.3k vs Moraes (+400) 6.9k
Magomed is a good striker with good power. He also has solid kicks and is quick. Moraes is a decent striker with solid power. He is tough to put away and is also the more experienced fighter. I like Magomed in all formats. Although I do think he is a better cash play than tournaments. I can see fading him some in tournaments just for salary savings alone and because if he doesn’t end fight within the 2nd round he probably won’t reach value. I don’t mind Moraes as a GPP punt.

Salikhov (-220) 8.9k vs Garcia (+180) 7.3k
Salikhov is good all-around. He is a good striker with solid power. He is young though and most of his fights normally end in the 1st round. Garcia has ok power and decent takedowns. He has shown to not have the best gas tank. I really like Salikhov in tournaments. He could also be used in cash. Garcia might be worth targeting a small amount, just in case this fight makes it out of 1st Round.
Caceres (-150) 8.5k vs Guan (+130) 7.7k
Caceres is decent all-around. He does not to attack with crazy kicks and strikes. Guan is a good striker. He will also have the size advantage in this fight. He currently trains at ATT. He also has a 19-1 professional MMA record. I like Guan a lot in all formats. I might use some Caceres but not too heavily. I will have a solid amount of exposure to Guan.
Jingliang (-185) 8.8k vs Ottow (+160) 7.4k
Jingliang is solid everywhere. He also tends to get stronger the longer the fight goes. Ottow has solid kicks and is decent overall. My preferred play here is Jingliang. I like him a little more in GPP’s. I also don’t hate the idea of targeting Ottow to a small extent in tournaments.
Gastelum (-280) 9k vs Bisping (+240) 7.2k
First off this is a 5 round fight. I like the idea of stacking this in cash. Gastelum is a good striker with good leg kicks to go along with it. Bisping is taking this fight after just having lost his title 3 weeks ago. He will have the size advantage here. He is a solid striker. He also has a solid gas tank. The thing I like about Bisping is he never just quits in fights. I will be high on targeting this fight in tournaments. My preferred play is Gastelum. But I will have a decent amount of Bisping as well.
