LCS NA Saturday 6/24

Welcome back to the wonderful world of eSports DFS on Draftkings.  I hope that you all enjoyed a great NBA season, and have transitioned into a wonderful MLB season.  If you are looking for another sport to enjoy I always recommend eSports as it was built for DFS.  High scores and lots of actions just make watching your players fun.

I am going to be changing up how I cover the slates this season because life has gotten a bit crazy for me.  I will be doing a write up on the teams I feel deserve to be talked about.  Either from the fade or play side of the coin.

Before the Breakdown

I hope you enjoy this free breakdown of the LCS NA slate, and I hope you keep coming back for more and more fun.  If you find yourself enjoying this write-up, I suggest you check out the rest of what the DFS Army offers.  We have a top notch MLB team, which is lead by Keith (boomersdaddy) who you may know qualified for a live final recently.

There is also great coverage of Nascar, MMA, and PGA both with the Domination Station, and Slack chat.  Do not wait to join, as we are gearing up for a great NFL season.  Join today and use the code “WIN” and you can try out everything VIP for a week free.  Don’t delay, click today.

For me, the best way to win at LoL is the team stack.  When you are wrong on the team or teams you stack you lose. The nice thing is when you are right you, win and you win bigger almost every time.  The best way to first is the team stack.

Joining the Rift

I swear every time I think I have the teams figured out they go and do something dumb and lose.  Still it just goes to show how odd this split will be going forward.  There are so many teams that can beat each other.  There are so many teams who can lose when they shouldn’t.  This Saturday slate feels very one sided, but I am not going to rule anything out.  For the top 4 teams we get C9, CLG, TSM, IMT.

For our bottom half DIG, FLY, nV, and TL will give us our shots at value.  This is not a week where I am looking forward to picking the bottom.  At least we know that this split is anything can happen LCS.  I will give you a little more of a look into the bottom and top this week to help us nail down the teams better.  If you have more questions on the plays hit me up in Slack so we can discuss them even further.  Again if you are not in Slack Don’t delay, click today and when you join use the code WIN to try everything out for a week free.

The Top Half

C9 has a great match up, has been putting some big scores.  They are the highest priced team, but are playing a slightly lost Team Liquid.  I am not convinced just yet, that we will see the scores we would want to pay off the price tag, but if there is a value team you like and can afford C9 go for it.  They should be able to pull out the 20 point bonus at the very least giving them a safe floor.  I also like that they play bloody.

CLG just gave up a match against IMT, who is proving to be a beast.  More on them in a second.  For now we know that CLG has been a killing machine facing against nV which has had some struggles.  I would say go for CLG with confidence.  They did just burn me and 60% of everyone who played them, so they will probably be lower owned.  This is a good spot for them to bounce back.

TSM is TSM.  They do what they do, but have not looked as good doing it this split.  There is a lot of chatter about this or that causing the problems in game.  I think the problem has more to do with them not being focused.  This is something that during interviews TSM said they were working on so at a reduced price they could be a under owned team facing a FLY team that has had 1 good looking match.  TSM will probably go lower owned thanks to C9 being above them and IMT being below them.

IMT is the cheapest of the top teams on the slate.  The team will be facing is DIG.  Dig has had some solid matches earning them the 2nd top spot, but I think this is just more reason to play IMT. IMT is fighting to prove they are top again in the NA LCS and with wins over the other heavy hitters faced IMT can prove again in this match.  I do expect IMT to be heavy owned so in smaller games the fade is ill advised.  In larger gpps, I like the play of C9 or TSM over IMT.  Anything with less than 100 people IMT will be a safe play.

The Bottom Half

DIG is probably the best option for a bottom team, but I do not like the idea of playing them against IMT who just owned CLG.  I can say that if you want a low owned stack you could go TSM/DIG and if you get it right you will find first in your reach because there will not be a lot of people on this stack.  DIG has looked overall solid, but this is really a play for big GPPS and would be my 2nd or 3rd option LU if I am multi entering a contest.

FLY finally won a match but it was not against a big name team.  Beating FOX is a step in the right direction, and their rookie Jungler was a solid player.  I could see them giving CLG an upset after a disappointing performance against IMT.  Play them if you want some value, but I would pick a play from here or there.  They just cannot be trusted yet.

I am just going out on a limb and saying I do not like nV.  Every team in the value side I could see pulling off at least 1 map win, but I do not know if nV will perform the same.  Still TSM has been able and willing to drop matches so it is not a crazy play.  I would also like to point out that I never know when to play nV.   Envy is my team of choice as a fan, and for some reason that means I play them when I should fade, and fade when I should play.

TL is also probably not worth the pick up.  The only reason you would really want to go this low in price is to play C9 or CLG, and C9 is probably not the best stack with the team we hope upsets.  Still if all of the bottom teams go bust, and C9 out scores all of the top teams you could make an argument for playing TL.  I also could see the possibility of TL pulling up a game upset.

That’s A Wrap

For cash type play I think a c9/imt or Dig/C9/IMT or CLG/IMT type play would work well.  For GPP you can use any of these teams and have a shot at winning.  I hope you put the two right stacks together and I look forward to seeing you out there in the Rift.
