Walsh’s Way – MLB Daily Fantasy Podcast, Value Plays & Dong Calls – June 21st

TODAY’S PODCAST

P – Aaron Nola @ Minnesota Twins

To me, this is about as easy as it gets tonight. The Twins are the worst team in baseball and Nola isn’t nearly as bad as he’s been in his last two starts; in his defense, those starts were against the Nationals and Blue Jays. The Phils, as a team, are struggling in their own regard so getting run support won’t come easy. However, they can certainly get back on track adding a DH in an American League park.

1B – James Loney vs. Kansas City Royals

Loney has a very good career history Royals’ starter Adam Kennedy, going 7-16 with five extra-base hits and a homer to boot. He’s moved up to fifth in the batting order and had a streak of seven-straight games with a hit snapped on Sunday.

3B – Juan Uribe vs. Tampa Bay Rays

The old man has gone yard in three consecutive days and he gets the platoon advantage tonight against Rays’ starter Blake Snell. Uribe also moves up a spot in the order making the deal even that much sweeter.

OF – Nomar Mazara & Shin-soo Choo vs. Cincinnati Reds

Both of these guys are vastly underpriced for their matchup and the ideal hitting weather at Globe Life Park tonight. Anthony DeSclafani is a two-trick pony with his fastball and slider combo, but there isn’t much else that he offers, much like Juan Nicasio of the Pirates who he always choose to target with left-handed bats.
