What a great and strange day of contests we just had. FaZe looked like they were the studs playing a FNC team that just could not get going. I think this has more to do with FaZe having some great aggressive play that just kept putting FNC on the back foot, which is really bad for Pro level CS:GO. F3 went the distance in both maps against NaVi and even won one of them before having a great map against Dig and then getting stomped by Dig. And while it did not make a bit of difference NaVi looked like crap on their first map against G2 before winning it in overtime, and then getting straight smashed on their 2nd map against G2. Regardless it was a crazy day, and if you are a fan like me, you should have had some fun watching the games.
Today’s slate will bring us more excitement as we get FaZe (who looked hot against FNC remember) playing a double header against F3 and Dig. I am excited to roster up 3 FaZe players for what should be some big scores. For filler we will get NiP facing Envy and VP going against mouz. More on each team as we go but first I want to give my ranking on this slate. I am very happy with the selections we get and am going to give this slate an easy 4. Remember a lot of people will forget to roster FaZe (by forget I mean not understand that they get the points from both matches) and make it easier to win as long as you get your FaZe max. I know because there were those who did not roster any F3 players in yesterday’s slate, and that is just crazy talk.
I am not going to sell the farm to buy stock in FaZe just yet, but I can say I did enjoy what I saw from their match against FNC. They played aggressive, and with just enough clutch to take down FNC on both maps. Oh and both maps were 2 of FNC’s best Train/Inferno. F3 played really well, but that still does not make them FNC even without Olof. kioShiMa might be a difference maker for FaZe since being let go from EnVy.
Dig is a hard team to read. They will give beat downs and then turn around and take them just as easily. If FaZe were not playing in the double with F3, I might recommend playing the Dig power players. I do think Dig shows up, and for 6700 k0nfig makes a nice value plug play. Dig is coin flip favorites 59% and 53%.
Envy is a straight mess. It has hard to be a fan of a team and watch them struggle like EnVy is. NiP has been playing like their shit don’t stink and should be riding a high after winning DreamHack Masters in dominate fashion. NiP is sitting in the 7~% range to win each map.
This is a sexy match that is going to get over looked with the fun and important games being played by EnVy and FaZe’s doubleheader. Mouz and VP are both teams who love to ride the rollercoaster, but they are also both solid teams with sexy players to target. This match sees mouz as slight favorites over VP, but honestly it is a coin flip call.
