Draftkings Week 4 Daily Fantasy Football Freeroll Bonus Player Picks

For the past two weeks we have posted two “Semi-Private” Freerolls from Draftkings. A Freeroll is a promotional contest that Draftkings puts together to bring in new users and get the word out about what they do. They are FREE to enter and pay out cash or prizes. Most of them are “Public” meaning that show in the lobby and therefore wind up with 20,000 plus entrants. Not exactly great odds. This one is different. Our “Semi-Private” Freerolls do not show in their lobby. On average there have been around 500 entrants. Those odds aren’t bad at all! Last week a reader here, Draftkings user skipalessi won 1st place in that tournament. Not bad considering he was on his second week playing on Draftkings!

This week’s Draftkings Freeroll even better! This is another Semi-Private Freeroll that will not show in the Draftkings Lobby! The top twenty finishers will get a ticket to next weeks Millionaire Maker Tournament with a top prize of ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!! These tickets are worth $27 a piece.

Remember this contest is FREE to enter and open to new and existing Draftkings Users!

Guest Blogger Mathew Ingham Brings us his Draftkings Player Picks for the Week 4 Freeroll and Contests:

DraftKings Week 4

Quarterback

Studs

Aaron Rodgers $8,200 – Rodgers is in for a shootout against the Bears and once again I am jumping on the Rodgers & Jordy Nelson train this week.

Drew Brees $9,300 – Brees is another stud that is in for a shootout in a game against Dallas. The splits for Brees are alarming when you compare home vs. away, but this game will be in a dome and I fully expect him to be the stud that he is.

Matthew Stafford $8,000 – Stafford is going up against the Jets horrible pass defense so expect big numbers from both Stafford &Calvin Johnson. The Lions are going up against arguably a top 5 run defense so expect them to struggle running the ball and lean on Stafford to carry them to a win.

Value

Colin Kaepernick $7,600 – Kaepernick is going up against the Eagles at home. The 49ers are coming off back to back losses and are going up against a high powered offense. This game has points written all over it. The Eagles are coming into week 4 as the 30th ranked defense against opposing quarterbacks and have allowed 8 touchdowns already. With the weapons that Kaepernick has as well as the damage that he can do with
his feet, he should be in for a big week.

Ben Roethlisberger $6,900The Bucs are coming into the game as the 17th ranked defense against opposing quarterbacks, but don’t let that fool you. In the first 2 weeks the Bucs faced backup QB’s and in their first real test against Matt Ryan they got burned. Ryan was 21/24 for 286 yards and 3 TD’s, and he didn’t even finish the 3rd quarter. Ben doesn’t quite have the weapons that the Ryan has, but with Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell look for Big Ben to have a big week.

Punts

Teddy Bridgewater $5,700With Cassel out for the year Bridgewater will be taking over the duties as starting quarterback. The Vikings actually have some decent weapons and are going up against a week defense in the Falcons. Given his ability to do damage with his feet, Bridgewater makes a nice inexpensive option at QB.

Running Backs

Studs

DeMarco Murray $8,300Murray is going up against the Saints who rank 20th against opposing running backs. Through 3 weeks the Dallas Cowboys are the 2nd run-heaviest team in the league. Over the last 2 weeks the Cowboys have called 57 passes and 71 runs, so look for the Cowboys to pound the ball against the Saints. This should be a high scoring game and Murray is averaging well over 100 yards per game as well as a touchdown per game. In a high scoring game Murray should be a lock for at least 1 score.

Matt Forte $7,800Forte is not only one of the best running backs in the league, but he’s also one of the few 3 down backs who can catch the ball out of the back field. This game is also expected to be a high scoring affair and a running back that can do it all is likely to see a lot of action. Just based on the fact it should be a high scoring game is reason enough to play one of the best running backs in the game, but it also helps that the Packers are the 27th ranked defense against opposing running backs.

Value Players

Donald Brown $5,400Brown hasn’t done much so far this season but he touched the ball 36 times against the Bills and with Woodhead and Mathews out for week 4 he is going to see a lot of touches yet again. Jacksonville comes into week 4 with the worst defense against opposing running backs. The Chargers are a team that plans on dominating the time of possession and to do so you must run the ball, which is exactly what they will do.

Ahmad Bradshaw $5,800Trent Richardson is awful, everyone knows this including the Colts. Bradshaw is not only the best runner that Colts have, but he is also a great pass catching back which makes him a great play this week in Draftkings full 1 point PPR format.

Pierre Thomas $5,400This game should be very high scoring and with Ingram out, Thomas & Robinson will be splitting the workload. Ultimately Thomas is a better pass catching running back so expect Thomas to see more action.

Punts

Deangelo Williams $3,900Tolbert has been placed on the injured reserve/designated to return list and Jonathan Stewart is dealing with a severely sprained right knee. Williams is expected to play this week and will likely have a large workload.

Wide Receivers

Studs

Calvin Johnson $8,500Johnson is a stud…do you really need any convincing?

Jordy Nelson $7,200Like I mentioned for Aaron Rodgers, this game is going to be very high scoring and through 3 weeks has already been targeted 37 times. I am completely onboard with the Rodgers/Nelson stack this week.

Antonio Brown $7,800The Roethlisberger/Brown stack is another stack I am constantly finding myself invested in. The Bucs just got torched by the Falcons and I expect the same thing to happen this week, and considering Brown is Ben’s only real target I expect him for a big week.

Value

Michael Crabtree $6,400 Stop me if you’ve heard this before: this game should be high scoring, and not to mention the Eagles defense has more holes than Swiss cheese. Crabtree is a favorite target of Kaepernick and in a game expected to be high scoring, I am having a tough time not putting Crabtree in my lineup.

Andre Johnson $5,700Johnson has had a relatively quiet season so far with 16 catches for 191 yards and no touchdowns. Last week Johnson only caught 4 passes, but was targeted a team high 11 times! This season Johnson has been targeted 5 times in the red zone and has yet to come down with any of them. His 5 red zone targets make up 56% of the Texans red zone targets, so expect him to keep being targeted in the red zone and for him to score a touchdown this week in a good matchup against the Bills.

Punts

Greg Jennings $4,500 Jennings seemed to be Bridgewater’s favorite target once he entered the game, and Jennings is always a threat to break off a TD. In a game where the Vikings will likely need to score quite a bit, expect Jennings to find the end zone.

Marques Colston $4,800Colston is another one of those wide receivers that will likely be involved in a high scoring game.Colston has had a rough season so far with only 7 catches but at this price he’s worth a flier considering his upside.

Tight End

Studs

Jimmy Graham $7,500Where do I even start with Graham? For starters he’s the best tight end in the game, and he’s facing the worst defense against opposing tight ends. Enough said.

Value

Martellus Bennett $5,700Bennett is clearly a favorite target of Cutlers having already caught 20 passes, and will likely be in for another high volume game.

Punts

Travis Kelce $3,700The issue with Kelce so far this year is that his snap count has been low. In week 1 Kelce only played 32% of snaps, but in week 3 he played 65% of snaps. Expect that number to keep increasing and keep in mind that according to Pro Football Focus, Kelce is averaging a strong 0.22 fantasy points per snap which ranks top 7 among tight ends.

Defense

Pittsburgh Steelers $2,900The Steelers are going up against the Bucs and are coming off a dominant performance against the much better Panthers. The Falcons DST scored 29 points against the Bucs last week, and it is very possible for the Steelers to put up a similar performance.

San Diego Chargers $3,100The Chargers will be facing the Jaguars and rookie QB Blake Bortles. The Jags run game is nonexistent
and after all Bortles is a rookie, so expect the Chargers to wind up with a few turnovers
