Chase Elliott Ends Mexico City with A Great Finish of Third
Chase Elliott of Hendrick Motorsports put together a quality race on Sunday's Viva Mexico 250 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez as he finished in the third position. Elliott began the race from 12th and was quiet during the first stage, making a few moves without incident. Elliott ended the first stage in the ninth position and gained two stage points. In the second stage, Elliott ran between the top 10 and 15 for most of the stage, only causing contact at times, like with Ty Dillon on lap 40. Elliott ended up heading to pit road before the stage ended, intending to flip track position between the second and third stages, and ended up finishing stage two in 23rd as a result. Elliott gained all of the track position back between stages to go back into the top 10 by the beginning of the final stage. Despite further cautions dividing up the field's pit strategies and even sending him back further, Elliott continued to prevail against the majority in the late stages as he rallied up to third place by passing cars through the rest of the race. Elliott's third-place run ended up scoring the best finish of the 2025 season for him as well as his fourth top-5 result.

Michael McDowell Leaves Mexico City with A Top-Five Finish
Michael McDowell of Spire Motorsports finished fifth during Sunday's Viva Mexico 250 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. Beginning the race from the same position, Michael McDowell remained steady throughout most of the race inside the top five or 10. In the first stage, he placed fourth and earned stage points, and despite his switching between wet and dry tires based on track conditions, he ended the second stage in the fifth position and earned more. In the final stage, McDowell got off-sequence with some of the other drivers on pit and fuel strategy, which shuffled him back outside of the top 10. This led to the No. 71 Chevrolet driver spending the rest of the stage moving through the field. McDowell recovered back into the fifth position for his first top-5 finish of the 2025 season in a points-paying race.

Chase Briscoe's Wild Day Ends with A Top-10 Finish
Joe Gibbs Racing driver Chase Briscoe ended Sunday's Viva Mexico 250 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in the seventh position after a wild topsy-turvy day. Briscoe began Sunday's race from the 19th position and although he made up a few positions into the Top 15 to start, he got involved in a multi car accident on lap eight. Despite receiving damage, Briscoe continued on but fell one lap down due to the length of time it took his team to make repairs. Briscoe ended the first stage in the 33rd position and was the original recipient of the free pass during the stage break until he pitted twice for fuel, incurring a one-lap penalty. Briscoe later got his lap back through the free pass in the middle of stage two on lap 33 after Ryan Truex spun and brought the caution back. The No. 19 Toyota driver then spent the rest of the second stage moving through the field, making it up to 17th by the end of it. In the final stage, Briscoe finally worked his way into the top 10 and even inside the top five during one of the restarts on lap 69, thanks to pit strategy. On this restart, Briscoe also hit one of the tire barriers on the track and fell back outside of the top 10, forcing him to recover ground again. Briscoe climbed his way into the top 10 and finished seventh by the end of the race, nabbing his seventh top-10 result of the 2025 season.

Christopher Bell has A Strong Runner-Up Performance At Mexico City
Christopher Bell of Joe Gibbs Racing had a strong performance during Sunday's Viva Mexico 250 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez as he finished as the runner-up in the event. Bell started the race from the 31st position and quickly made up ground from his deep starting position during the first stage. He made it as high as 10th, but due to pit strategy, he ended the first stage in 20th, intending to flip the stages and gain track position as the second stage began. This paid off as he made it up to the top five and eventually worked his way to second and earned stage points by the end of stage two. In the final stage, Bell briefly took the lead from Shane Van Gisbergen early in the stage until SVG took it back from Bell. The No. 20 Toyota driver then spent the rest of the race chasing down Van Gisbergen and fending off drivers like Alex Bowman for second place. Bell's second-place finish marked his first top-5 finish in the 2025 season since Kansas back in the second week of May.
