Defenses to Stream – Week 10 NFL Fantasy Football

DFS Army’s Gthom goes over the defenses to stream this week. The defenses to stream listed below are normally found in at least 40-percent of leagues (prior to waivers).

We CRUSHED Last weeks’ article as it was stuffed with great defensive plays! Our best play was the New England Patriots, they finished as the highest D/ST on the week. We also provided solid value with Minnesota’s and Miami’s D/ST’s. Week 9’s article finished with a D/ST scoring average of 11.25 fantasy points.

Follow Gthom on the cesspool they call twitter, @GarettThomas.

Raiders D/ST vs Indianapolis Colts

Available in 86% of Sleeper Leagues

The Colts have been one of the worst offenses on display within the NFL. They are the 2nd best match up for opposing D/ST’s on the season and it has been worse over their last three games: 17.3-FPPG allowed. Even if Matt Ryan suits up, instead of the sophomore Sam Ehlinger, the Raiders D/ST is firmly in play.

The Raiders are not a sexy defense to stream but with the firing of Indy’s head coach following Week 9, Vegas is nearly must-start. In this situation the match up and the situation is perfect for streaming.

Rams D/ST vs Arizona Cardinals

Available in 50% of Sleeper Leagues

The Rams offense may be anemic but they are protecting the football, which has me on the Rams’ side of this game (you can easily play the Cardinals’ D/ST, their team just seems to be playing worse). D/ST’s going against the Cardinals have finished top-12 or better in 5 of the last 7 games. On average opposing D/ST’s have finished with 8-FPPG. The Rams should be able to find their floor at the least, as the Cardinals allow the sixth-most sacks in the NFL.

Chiefs D/ST vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Available in 46% of Sleeper Leagues

Facing off against the league’s most turnover-prone player (amongst current starting QB’s), Trevor Lawrence, the Chiefs look like a solid option in Week 10. Outside of the large spread (-9.5) and a turnover-prone Lawrence, there is not much to love here. While this is a solid play, KC does not sack the opposing QB and they rank low in takeaways as well. What KC does well is score a lot of points and force opposing offenses to become one-dimensional. There is a decent chance this game-theory unfolds and if that happens it means Lawrence will have more opportunities for mistakes.

Giants D/ST vs Houston Texans

Available in 94% of Sleeper Leagues

Over their last 5 games Houston has allowed opposing D/ST’s to score 8, 5, 10, 9, and 8 fantasy points respectively. New York has the highest blitz rate in the league and that has allowed them to generate a top-12 pressure-percentage at 23.1%. This should be a slow scoring game where both running backs control the pace of play. New York does not generate many takeaways which is why they are my least favorite D/ST on this list.

  • Cardinals D/ST vs Los Angeles Rams
  • Broncos D/ST vs Tennessee Titans
