NHL Building Blocks – April 22

NHL Building Blocks – April 22

Nice slate tonight with two series starting and two series continuing.  Can the road teams tie up their series?  Can the champs grab Game 1 on the road?  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – April 22
The Goalie:
 Fredrik Andersen ($8200 DK / $8600 FD)
Gave up just one goal last game in the series opener, stopping 33 of 34 shots, and should be in just as good a spot at home tonight.  Looking to go up 2-0.

The Center:  Auston Matthews ($9800 DK/ $10300 FD)
Was his normal active and aggressive self in the first game (five shots and three hits), but was held off the scoresheet, and the Leafs will not want to go home 0-2.

The Wing:   David Pastrnak ($9400 DK/ $1000 FD)
Always in play as he is matchup-proof; only three SOG in G1 (three more missed), but he did have four hits and was his normal aggressive self.  Will want to grab a 2-0 lead.

The Defenseman:  Charlie McAvoy ($5000 DK / $6200 FD)
Two assists and four hits in G1; saw close to 26 minutes and should replicate that in every game going forward.

The Value:  Jake DeBrusk ($4100 DK / $5000 FD)
Two goals and an assist in G1 (also five hits) and was the biggest impact.

The Stack: EDM1 (McDavid-Hyman-Henrique)
Should be a solid top line against the Kings even though it’s a tough matchup.  McDavid is matchup-proof and will be looking to start off strong at home.  Mix in Draisaitl and RNH as secondary pieces.

The Builder:  CAR/EDM ML parlay
