Hello to all the cubs out there! Here is my breakdown of tonights short 2 game NBA slate:
Two game slate and there aren’t a ton of options. For starters, I wouldn’t play any cash games. Here are some of the plays I like the most at each position for GPP in order:
PG: Bledsoe, Murray, IT, Teague
SG: Middleton, Barton, Wiggins, Gary Harris
SF: I only like two here and that’s the top 2 Giannis and Butler
PF: Kuz, Taj, Lyles
C: Jokic, KAT, Randle
Now, there are going to be some spots where you will need to use minimum or near minimum priced guys. Here are some thoughts:
Snell: He plays a TON of minutes and at his price can get steals and rebounds and has been known to make a few 3 balls. This game will be pretty fast-paced and that benefits him.
Brook Lopez: Not thrilled with it, but, he will see minutes in the mid 20’s and can get hot.
Jabari Parker: I’m not thrilled with his minute restriction, however, I feel the team knows he can only play limited minutes and get him the ball a bit more when he’s out there. He has the highest usage rate of all PFs on the slate.
Devin Harris and Jamal Crawford: both of these guys can light it up with Crawford being the more lethal one. Both near min price and worthy salary relief plays.
Tyus Jones: Again, not thrilled with the minutes for him. He is able to get steals in a hurry and the Lakers love going small…he may see some extended minutes guarding IT.
