Every week of the year the PGA Tour plays on a new course. There are some examples in other DFS Sports of environments impacting performance, such as Coors Field in Baseball; Golf, however, offers an entirely unique environment each and every week. This article will break down the week’s PGA course and attempt to find what skill sets are needed for success. This article will then combine the course breakdown with the DFS Army Domination Station & VIP Research Station and give a few players to target in both Cash Game and GPP formats. Rickie Fowler – GPP
Fowler was the top player on the board and did not disappoint. Fowler finished the event in second place and finished third overall in points on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
Pat Perez – All Formats
Perez faltered on Friday but kept it together enough to make the cut. After a run on Sunday Perez got himself a reasonable T34 finish.
Gary Woodland – Cash
Just like Perez, Woodland finished T34, a little lower than what we want given the salary we spent but still found himself right in the middle of scoring for players priced over $9000 so he did not kill any cash teams for the week.
Chesson Hadley – FanDuel Value
Hadley struggled the first two days and managed to just scrape out a made cut. Unfortunately, Hadley withdrew after eating something his stomach did not agree with.

Course Preview
The final event of the swing season is here! Players will be teeing it up on Saint Simmonds Island in Georgia. This event is unique in the way that two separate golf courses are incorporated. Players play one round at Seaside, a par 70 7,005 yard course and then another at the Plantation Course, a par 72 measuring 7,058 yards. Players then finish the final two rounds at the Seaside course so research will be focused here as three out of four rounds will be happening here. 2015 was the first time the event happened in this manner while previous years the event was held strictly at Seaside, making past course history still relevant.
Before looking at the course a quick look at the field shows just what we expect from a swing-season event. All of Europe’s top players are playing on the Euro Tour this week with the conclusion of the Tour Championship and the majority of the U.S. stars are enjoying another week off. We still have a few big names in attendance, as both Matt Kuchar and Kevin Kisner will be teeing it up for the week.
As far as the courses go, Plantation is a short par 72 that he seen players score incredibly well. With only 2 professional rounds being played on the track over two years it is really hard to draw conclusions and with three-quarters of the event taking place at a different course, I won’t personally be putting too much thought into analyzing Plantation. As far as the Seaside Course goes, off of the tee, driving accuracy has trumped distance in recent years. The course is relatively short and with only two par fives consistent opportunity to get birdies becomes more important than distance to get you onto the par fives in 2. Another easy event this week means another event where a premium is on birdie or better % keep hammering the guys getting birdies and you should put yourself in a good spot. Finally, I will be weighting course history a little more than I usually do as a proven track record has generally correlated to success here. Charles Howell – Cash – DK: $9500 FD: $8500
Becoming one of the most dependable players on tour Howell is a great option for cash games this week. Howell has made the cut in all four of his swing season appearances including a T4 last weekend at the OHL Classic. Our DFS Army Domination Station has him as the second highest projected fantasy points per $ of players above $9000 for the weekend. At this event, Howell has made 4/5 previous cuts with two top ten finishes in that time so course history is no concern.
Si Woo Kim – GPP –DK: $7500 FD: $8300
The third-place finish last week and low salary on DraftKings may increase ownership above what we have been seeing but I still like Si Woo as a GPP play. He has shown an ability to win tournaments and showed good form last week. Our Domination Station has him as the highest projected fantasy points per dollar of any player in the field.
Chesson Hadley – FanDuel Value – DK: $10200 FD: $7300
The withdraw may have disappointed owners last week but look for Hadley to rebound once again. Expect heavy ownership on the FanDuel platform despite last weeks withdraw given his price still being way to low.
Kevin Streelman – Domination Station Pick – DK: $7500 FD: $7300
I am going to try a new strategy with the last pick being given out to the public. Our Domination Station has been very accurate with both a $150,000 Football win and a $53,000 Basketball win this month and always been a solid option when building cash game teams, so here’s a player our domination station has been spitting out as a top-five fantasy point per dollar option.
