***Note: I’m not sure what the Blazers situation is yet, but if we get word that their starters are playing regular minutes then I really like them all***

POINT GUARDS:

Marcus Smart, Terry Rozier (BOS vs PHI)
With Kyrie Irving sitting, you’ll see both guys get plenty of run against one of the NBA’s worst defenses in a pace-up game.

Tyler Johnson (MIA vs CHA)
I know most people are going to play TJ because Dragic is out, but that actually has zero effect on him. TJ runs with the second unit so anything he does is because he’s naturally amazing.

Corey Joseph (IND @ DET)
His teammate Darren Collison will be limited to 12 minutes tonight. That’s where Corey Jo steps in and gets significant minutes with his new team.

SHOOTING GUARDS:

James Harden, Eric Gordon (HOU @ NYY)
For Harden, same as the reasoning for CP3- minutes, minutes, minutes… and he’s pretty damn good too. Gordon will play a crucial role off the Rockets bench once again and tonight is as easy of a matchup that anyone will have on the slate.

Josh Richardson, Dion Waiters (MIA vs CHA)
Most people will flock to TJ with their Heat exposure but this is where the actual beneficiaries of Dragic being inactive lie. Richardson was great on Saturday (also without Dragic), posting 19 points, four assists, three steals, two rebounds and a block in 29 minutes. Waiters wasn’t bad himself in that game, posting 17 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 25 minutes.

Tim Hardaway Jr (NYK vs HOU)
Great up-tempo matchup against the Rockets. I would be shocked if he didn’t take at least 10 three-pointers in this game.

Rodney Hood/Alec Burks (UTA @ PHX)
This is a pace-up game for the Jazz, so there should be goodness all the way around. The only reason these guys aren’t listed higher is that I have no idea what their minutes are going to look like.

Luke Kennard (DET vs IND)
With Avery Bradley out for the Pistons, Kennard will continue to see plenty of time on the court. He has held his own so far up against NBA competition and played 24 and 26 minutes in each of the Pistons two preseason games.

SMALL FORWARDS:

Tobias Harris/Stanley Johnson (DET vs IND)
Bradley’s absence also benefits other Pistons players tonight. SVG is not a prude when it comes to allocating minutes to his starters, so Harris (28,28) and Johnson (25, 28) have done their fair share of running in the team’s first two preseason games.

Jayson Tatum (BOS vs PHI)
With Gordon Hayward resting, Tatum should get somewhere around the 33 minutes he saw in the preseason opener- in that game: nine points, five rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals.

Jeremy Lamb (CHA @ MIA)
With Nicholas Batum out of the Hornets lineup, Lamb is now Robin in the Hornets dynamic duo backcourt…. Kemba Walker, of course, being Batman.

POWER FORWARDS:

Kelly Olynyk, James Johnson (MIA vs CHA)
Power forwards have been the best way to attack the Hornets for a while now, so we can continue right on with this trend. At this point of the preseason, Olynyk has been getting more fantasy points by loading up on peripheral stats, but I (unlike many others) have faith in Neck Tat to get it turned around.

Dario Saric (PHI @ BOS)
He has only been resting because he played Euro ball in the offseason, not because of injury. The Sixers might need him to play some minutes at center tonight with all of their injuries.

Harrison Barnes (DAL vs ORL)
The Mavs starters are supposed to get a good number of minutes tonight, and I feel like Barnes is the most trustworthy player they have. Basically, Barnes is not competing for anyone with minutes so he can just go out and do his thing.

Ryan Anderson (HOU @ NY)
Oh, another Rockets player in tonight’s write up. Well, that’ll happen when a coach puts his guys out there for nearly 30 minutes in a preseason game.

Guerschon Yabusele (BOS vs PHI)
I don’t even think the fans in Boston like this guy as much as I do, and tonight could be the night he busts out in a big way. Yabusele has only played 15 and 16 minutes in each of the first two preseason games, but that will undoubtedly get bumped up with all the Celtics inactives. Unfortunately, his shot hasn’t been falling in these two preseason games (which will make people weary of using him), but I feel like more time on the court will get him in a better groove.

CENTERS:

Hassan Whiteside (MIA vs CHA)
The Hornets have played two preseason games so far, and both centers (Al Horford, Andre Drummond) went B-A-N-A-N-A-S against Dwight Howard. Part of that is because Howard has 11 turnovers in 46 minutes this preseason; that’s big peripheral potential for Whiteside, who is coming off a 17 point/15 rebound performance over the weekend in Orlando.

Jahlil Okafor (PHI @ BOS)
The Sixers are taxed for bodies down low and he is their only legit center on the roster.

Clint Capela (HOU @ NYK)
Another Rockets player… you already know why.

Willy Hernangomez, Enes Kanter (NYK vs HOU)
The Knicks played last night so I’m not sure what their rotation is going to look like. Hernangomez was great last night against the Nets, but you have to wonder if they take it easy with him on a B2B.
