DFS MLB Weather Friday 6/23

Trouble Spots

TEX@NYY, LAA@BOS, CIN@WSH, MIN@CLE

Rain will be moving through the Great Lakes region and into the Northeast/mid-Atlantic this evening. This is what the simulated radar for 8PM looks like:

Seems like the rain is almost in a perfect spot, moving away from CLE and not into the I-95 cities of BOS, NYY or WSH quite yet. Will have to watch the radar, but all games look like they should play with CLE possibly starting delayed while NYY is the game that looks to be at greatest risk of the other 3.

MIL@ATL

A line of showers/thunderstorms is forecast to push through ATL this evening.

It looks like the game should start on time and then be impacted by rain about an hour and a half after it starts.

Parks that Favor the Batter

NYY, BOS, CHW

Parks that Favor the Pitcher

TB, MIA, KC, STL, SF

Weather Factors

-Wind out to center at 5-10 mph, some rain/thunder possible, temps in the mid 70s, dewpoints in the low 70s in NYY.

-Wind blows out to center at 10-15 mph, some rain/thunder possible late, temps in the mid 80s falling to near 80, dewpoints in the low 70s in WSH.

-Wind blowing out to left-center at 10-15 mph, temps near 80 falling into the 70s, thunder/rain possible late, dewpoints in the low 70s in BOS. This park is playing much better for hitters now as when compared to earlier in the year.

-Rain moves away, wind blows in from left at 5-10 mph, temps in the mid 70s, dewpoints in the mid 60s in CLE.

-Roofs likely closed in MIA and ARI.

-TB is one of the hardest park to HR in.

-Wind blows in from right at 6-12 mph, rain looks to move in during the game, temps in the low 80s falling into the mid 70s, dewpoints near 70 in ATL.

-Wind blows out to left at 10-15 mph in CHW, temps in the mid 70s falling into the 60s, dewpoints in the mid 50s in CHW.

-Not much wind to speak and unusually dry and cool in both STL and KC.

-Gorgeous in SEA, wind blows in from left at 7-14 mph, temps near 80 falling to near 70, dewpoints in the 40s.

-LAD, SF and SD all see warmer than average conditions, especially in LAD and SD. SF is right by the bay so the heat wave has the most trouble reaching them. LAD and SD may see better hitting conditions than normal.
