League of legend (LoL) is one of the biggest games being played at this time, and it’s eSports’ biggest sport currently offered.  This guide is going to help you get involved and hopefully win at LoL on both of Draftkings and Alphadrafts (pricing information is focused on DK, but you will easily be able to gain information for AD).

Have you wondered how you can join the DFS Army?  Well I have an easy enough solution for you.  All you have to do is click right here to join.

Joining will get you some pretty cool things, but most importantly you will get access to our Slack chat and direct access to all of our pros (MLB/PGA/Nascar/NFL/NBA).  Now you also get ALL sports for the same low price!

There is also a deal that gets you a free month of access if you join Draftkings and make your first deposit.  Just follow that link to get all of the important information!

If you want to join Alphadraft and support everything I do here just follow the link by clicking – HERE – If you are not a member of the DFS Army, and follow that link to sign up and deposit for the first time, you now get your first month FREE!  Just follow the same information you would from joining DK.

LoL DK-AD

We are just about to start our 2nd to last LCS summer split regular season matches, and boy are they rough.  The slate coming up starts with Apex against Liquid, and CLG taking on their Letter Foe NRG.  We will finish with Cloud 9 against Fox and finish with what might be the biggest game of the weekend Phoenix 1 fighting against Immortals.  If you haven’t noticed with the match ups, one thing we are looking at here is a Studs verses Underdog.  These are normally contests that I completely ignore, but with it being our 2nd to last slate we might as well have some fun.

Tonight there will not be any player notes though because slates like this it is not about picking the right player as much as it is about picking the right teams, and avoiding the wrong players.  I will give you a little break down of how I see the games and the teams.  If this was not the 2nd to last weekend though it would be a complete fade of a slate.  These kinds of slates on Draftkings require us to find the upset in order to build lineups.  These kinds of slates do not give us any direct guesses as to who those will be.  Every one of the stud teams should be able to 2-0 their matches.  That means we have to guess at the back up, which I do not like to do in fantasy.

The stud teams here if you are still not sure are: CLG, IMT, C9, and Liquid.  My favorite for us to use are C9 Liquid, and to a lesser extent CLG.  When it comes to the stud team any of them can produce, but I think since they require the most of our cash we should get the biggest scores from the stud line.  C9 has produced big numbers in a lot of matches, and Fox is not much of a foe for us to worry about any upsets (which can still happen, but I do not see it).  C9 really needs to win to keep either TL or CLG to take their place at 3rd, and since both TL and CLG have easier matches here as well I do not think C9 will play it soft here.

My 2nd favorite team to focus in is TL, because they have been producing great numbers as well since the switch at ADC.  TL is also in a pretty good match up with Apex.  Apex has a little more chance to upset than Fox, but TL is cheaper than C9, and they are big point producers.  Apex also has the chance to keep the game interesting which will mean more points, and a higher score for their players.  As long as the game goes our way, and TL’s way since they need to keep the pressure on both CLG and C9.

CLG has a lot riding on this game, and while I normally do not pick CLG for anything fantasy, I will say against NRG they could really produce.  NRG has made much worse teams than CLG look great.  The only reason they are my bottom of the 3 stud teams I like to focus on is because they often play safe, which means they do not get kills other teams chase, and that means less fantasy points can happen.  Then again it can also mean less deaths, and more shot at a win, but against a team like NRG, I want those kills because the win should not be a hard thing to come up with.

So you might have noticed that IMT is not on my top 3 list of studs to focus on.  Here is the reasons why in no real order.  Price – They are pricey which I get, but that price means they need to produce.  Sure they can produce, but if P1 keeps up their string of upsets, it will be a very costly mistake. Upset – Of all the teams facing an underdog, I think P1 has the most chance to pull off an upset.  P1 has been playing amazing, but more on that in P1’s section.  Reason to play – So of all the top teams I listed as teams to focus on the one thing they all have in common is something to play for.  Immortals is not a team to care about season long needs, but they have the least to play for.  So with all of that there are reasons to focus on the other three studs.

Now that we have the Studs covered lets look into the Underdogs.  For underdogs my favorites are P1, Apex, and nothing else.  Sure Fox could pull of something, and NRG has their moments every now and again, but neither are worth the risk.  They could make an interesting tournament option that will be low owned, but you are shooting for a frog in the dark here.

P1 has managed to pull off upsets lately against some very impressive teams, and while I am not sure if they will pull it off again, if I am going to ride any money on an upset it comes from them.  They played TSM and won, and they have played better.  Their price is super low thanks to IMT being their opponent.  It is also important to remember that teams in the upset roll do not have to win, they need to produce fantasy scores.  That is something I trust P1 to do, and while winning gives us the most points P1 can produce even in the loss, and I think they will produce better than any other upset team.

That really just leaves us with Apex going against TL.  I do not trust Apex, but they have pulled off some good wins.  They are also a team in the bottom who really have something to play for as they really need to win.  TL is more than enough to top Apex, but again we do not need the win, but the most points from a bottom team as we can get.  Apex could give us plenty of points, but with that said I still like P1 better.

Well hopefully you are ready to find out everything that you will need to build that winning lineup.  Remember these slates are rough and should be played smart and small.  Build the best lineup you can out of the 2 teams you really like.  You can build a 3 part team, but often in LCS NA a 2 team stack with a splash is often the smartest play.
