UFC 283 DFS MMA cash picks and strategy for Teixeira vs Hill on January 21st starts here! This time we have a 15-fight card taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There are several very close matches on this card which will make for some interesting choices in your tournament builds. But, that’s not what this article is about. My goal is to help navigate you through this interesting card and find some solid fighters to begin your cash game construction with.

It may not be the sexiest way to build your bankroll but, over time it can be the most consistent. MMA UFC Cash Game Basics for DFS
In cash games, unlike tournaments, we are trying to build a solid floor with our lineups. Many times that may mean using a fighter with great odds to win or taking someone who is severely mispriced. Cash games are often times card dependent. For example, if a fighter is expected to be chalky in cash games and I feel they are in a good spot I have no problem eating the chalk and just rostering him. After all, he’s chalky for a reason. One major difference between cash and tournament play is getting past your aversion to play the chalk. Often times, the chalk makes a lot of sense. DFS MMA UFC 283 Cash Core Plays
Jailton Almeida (-975) 9.7k
Jailton finds himself the biggest favorite on the card and priced as the most expensive. He is my favorite cash play in this 9k range. This fight carries a -900 Fight Ends Inside The Distance prop and Almeida carries a -550 to win Inside The Distance prop himself. He has scored 113.9+ DraftKings points in all 3 of his UFC wins and landed multiple Td’s in 2 of them. No need to overthink here in your cash builds!! Make the smart play here and lock him in and move on. That’s exactly the route I am taking here.
Jessica Andrade (-490) 9.4k
Jessica is another fighter I like on this card priced in the 9k range. She not only lands 6.16 Significant Strikes per minute, but she also lands 2.85 TD’s per fight. I think she can win this fight wherever she wants. Overall I think she might be the one of the safest plays to lock in a win on the entire card! Thus making her Andrade a strong cash game play. If you choose to follow my lead I think it will lead to a profitable cash game night for you!!
Mounir Lazzez (+140) 7.4k
In order to fit the higher-priced favorites on this card you are going to have to punt with an underdog or 2 on this card. Mounir is my favorite cash punt on the entire card. This fight is expected to go into the later rounds with Fight Starts Round 2 prop at -250. I see no reason he doesn’t reach 30-40 DraftKings points in a decision loss, especially when you factor in he lands 7.4 Significant Strikes per minute. That’s all we need from him at this salary and by using Lazzez in your cash builds it allows more flexibility with the rest of your lineup construction. This is the route I am taking on this card and I think you should entertain the thought as well.
Sure, these are MY favorite cash game plays, but maybe you play GPPs or like others. That’s fine…..you need tools, though. MMA UFC Fight To Target In Hybrids/Tournaments
Now that we covered some cash plays. Let’s breakdown 1 fight I really think you should get exposure to in your hybrid and tournament lineups.
Terrance McKinney (-125) 8.5k vs Ismael Bonfim (+105) 7.7k
This fight carries a Fight Ends Inside Distance prop at -900 (the highest on the entire card). Both fighters have paths to putting up strong DFS scores and the winner of this fight has a strong chance to be in the optimal lineup, especially at their salaries. I will personally have a good amount of exposure to this fight in tournaments (north of 75%). This fight will score well for DraftKings purposes. My preferred play is McKinney. In all 3 of his UFC wins he has never scored less than 96.9 DraftKings points. Having said that get some exposure to Bonfim as well. All of McKinney’s fights have ended in the 1st round. I think the longer this fight lasts the more it swings in the favor of Bonfim. Regardless of how this fight goes I think you need to get heavy exposure to both sides. If you plan on playing multiple lineups in tournaments this is a great fight to target both sides of in my opinion.
