Main Slate Breakdown for NBA DFS 12/6:

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Detroit Pistons @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 221.5

Vegas Spread: Mia -8.5

We’ll kick off this slate with the Pistons, Killian Hayes has been in great form with at least 30 DraftKings points in four of his last five, he’s going to continue to start for Cade Cunningham and is a solid secondary option in this one. Bojan Bogdanovic has been a bit more volatile as of late but the minutes haven’t exactly been consistent due to some weird game scripts. I wouldn’t have a problem going right back to him in this one. Jaden Ivey is more of a tournament option due to the volatility we’ve seen from him this season. He has a 28.7% usage rate and 0.94 fantasy points per minute with Cade off of the court this season. The minutes for Marvin Bagley will likely continue to be volatile but he’s a nice per-minute producer when he’s out there and the price tag isn’t all that bad on him. I don’t love the matchup, however. Then guys like Isaiah Stewart, Saddiq Bey, and Alec Burks are fine secondary tournament options as well. From Miami, Jimmy Butler came down to Earth a bit last night… it wouldn’t shock me to see him rest on the back end of a back-to-back after he missed the last couple of weeks with a knee injury. That’s just reckless speculation, however, so he’s going to look like a fine option in all formats on this slate. Bam Adebayo had a rough game last night as well but gets an elite bounce-back spot in this one. I don’t have any faith in the Pistons’ frontcourt holding him down. Kyle Lowry has continued to play all the minutes he can handle and has been extremely consistent, he’s a nice secondary option in all formats. Tyler Herro was the one guy that looked great last night, he has been good with at least 40 FanDuel points in four straight games and would look like a solid secondary option in all formats in this one. While Caleb Martin and Max Strus should continue to see all the minutes they can handle and are in play as secondary options, but aren’t guys I’ll be prioritizing.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo

4-star play: Killian Hayes, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jaden Ivey, Tyler Herro, Kyle Lowry

 Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Marvin Bagley, Isaiah Stewart, Saddiq Bey, Alec Burks, Caleb Martin, Max Strus

Quick shoutout to VIP member “Cenzamatic” on a massive $20k win last season! Sometimes paying up for double studs works, and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant brought it home for him with the help of some Stanley Johnson and Pistons value. Good work and congrats man!

Los Angeles Lakers @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total: 225.5

Vegas Spread: Cle -4.5

Starting with the Lakers, LeBron James has looked great since returning and now gets some “revenge” if you want to call it that by going back into Cleveland tonight. LeBron is always a guy where I’m not afraid to ride a little narrative, so I think he looks good again here as a spend-up option. Anthony Davis continues to play at a ridiculous level, he has a 30.3% usage rate and 1.92 fantasy points per minute over the past two weeks. I have no issue riding the heater out with him. Russell Westbrook is more of a tournament option but has looked solid over his last few games. The price did come down to a more playable range as well. Dennis Schroder makes sense as a value option, he has at least 29 minutes in five straight games, so the opportunity is certainly there. Then a guy like Lonnie Walker is a good secondary option, but not someone I’m forcing in. From the Cavs, Donovan Mitchell has been extremely solid this season and dropped 45.25 DraftKings points in this matchup earlier in the year. I wouldn’t have an issue going right back to him on a slate this size. The same can be said for Darius Garland although he hasn’t been in great form over his last few games. Caris LeVert is a guy I’ve been getting exposure to over their last few slates, there is a lot of meat on the bone at this price tag but the floor is extremely low as we saw last time out. He’ll be strictly a GPP play, but is someone I’ll have an interest in again here. Jarrett Allen comes into this one as questionable, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates, but I’ll operate under the assumption that he’s good to go here. Assuming he’s not limited, they’ll need his size down low in this one, and has a really nice price tag. If he’s forced to sit, we will likely see Mamadi Diakite back in the starting lineup, but I’m not sure he’s a guy we can get to, he’s played just 11 and 12 minutes over his last two games. Finally, Evan Mobley has at least 37 FanDuel points in four of his last five games and will look solid again here.

5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis

4-star play: Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, Lonnie Walker, Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen

Deeper Value: Dennis Schroder

GPP Sleeper: Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, Lonnie Walker, Caris LeVert, Kevin Love, Cedi Osman

Dallas Mavericks @ Denver Nuggets

Vegas Total: 222.5

Vegas Spread: Den -4.5

We’ll round this slate out starting with the Mavericks, Luka Doncic is averaging 58.6 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Nuggets this season and is right up there with Jokic and those Lakers guys as the top spend-ups on the slate, but man Luka’s price is in a different tier. Christian Wood has been getting more consistent run as of late and it’s shown in his production with at least 35 DraftKings points in three of his last four. He’s a solid option in all formats as they’ll need his size in this one. Spencer Dinwiddie has looked much better over his last couple of games and is in play for tournaments again here, it’s hard for me to ever prioritize him when Luka is in there. Tim Hardaway Jr. has stepped it up as of late with at least 27 DraftKings points in four straight and will look like a good mid-range option again in this one. Then a guy like Dorian Finney-Smith is a fine filler piece, but not someone I want to prioritize. From the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic had his best game in a few weeks last time out against the Pelicans and will look like a great option again here. He’s right up there with those other spend-ups on the slate and I love attacking this Dallas frontcourt with opposing big men. Jamal Murray has been extremely consistent as of late and has a 27.8% usage rate and 1.09 fantasy points per minute with Michael Porter Jr. off of the court this season. Bruce Brown and Aaron Gordon will continue to play all the minutes they can handle while Porter Jr. is out as well, both look like nice mid-range options in this one. Then guys like Bones Hyland and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are fine GPP options if you land on them, but won’t be guys I look to prioritize by any means.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic

4-star play: Christian Wood, Spencer Dinwiddie, Tim Hardaway Jr., Jamal Murray, Bruce Brown, Aaron Gordon

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, Bones Hyland, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
