Main Slate Breakdown for NBA DFS 11/29:

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

New York Knicks @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: 226.0

Vegas Spread: Nyk -5.0

We’ll kick off this slate with the Knicks, they come in pretty healthy other than Immanuel Quickley coming in as questionable. Julius Randle has 41 DraftKings points in three straight games and is a guy that looks fine here. He’s not really someone I love, but not a guy I hate either, he’s averaging 30.5 DraftKings points per game in two games against Detroit on the season. Jalen Brunson would be my preferred option from this team even at an elevated price tag. He’s been unreal over his last three games with at least 45 DraftKings points in each of them. RJ Barrett has been all over the place this season and is a hard guy for me to trust, but has been in much better form over his last few games. If Quickley does play he’ll look like a fine tournament option on a short slate tonight, but isn’t a guy I want to get too crazy on. Lastly, Cam Reddish and Quentin Grimes are seeing similar minutes and are fine value options, although I think we see fewer minutes for whichever guy comes off of the bench if Quickley is good to go. From the Pistons, we’re going to need some news from this team as Jaden Ivey, Bojan Bogdanovic, Marvin Bagley, and Isaiah Stewart all come in as questionable. Bagley is the only one of these guys that played in the last game, so make note of that, but I’ll break this team down as if they’re all available then we’ll pivot in the Breaking News Feed if needed. They will continue to be without Cade Cunningham, however, so whoever starts will see a nice boost in usage and opportunity. Ivey hasn’t been in the greatest form but does have a 29.0% usage rate and 0.96 fantasy points per minute with Cunningham off of the court this season. Bogdanovic has been pretty consistent but the price has certainly come up, he would be more of a secondary option for me in this one. Killian Hayes would be the guy that would get the biggest boost for me if this team does come in shorthanded. He has at least 37 DraftKings points in back-to-back games and would be a guy I go back to even at an elevated price tag. The minutes for Bagley are hard to trust but they’re trending in the right direction and he’s been in much better form as of late. Saddiq Bey would be more in play for me in the same scenario where Hayes would be in play, he’s a hard guy to trust due to his volatility but we know the ceiling is there for him. Stewart would be a fade for me regardless of if he plays or not (obviously), he’s been out for 2+ weeks, so I can’t imagine he’s a full go here. Lastly, Alec Burks is a solid mid-range option, while Jalen Duren would be a fine salary saver if Stewart is forced to miss again.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Julius Randle, Jalen Brunson, RJ Barrett, Jaden Ivey, Bojan Bogdanovic, Marvin Bagley

Deeper Value: Jalen Duren

GPP Sleeper: Immanuel Quickley, Cam Reddish, Quentin Grimes, Saddiq Bey, Alec Burks

Quick shoutout to VIP member “Cenzamatic” on a massive $20k win last season! Sometimes paying up for double studs works, and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant brought it home for him with the help of some Stanley Johnson and Pistons value. Good work and congrats man!

Golden State Warriors @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: 228.0

Vegas Spread: Gsw -1.5

Starting with the Warriors, Steph Curry continues to crush and has a 30.8% usage rate and 1.48 fantasy points per minute on the season. He’s going to look like a top spend-up option on the slate along with Luka on the other side of this one. Draymond Green and Klay Thompson have been in solid form as well and look like nice options in the mid-range. Neither of them are priorities in all likelihood, but they’ll look good nonetheless. Andrew Wiggins has at least 48 FanDuel points in two of his last three guys and is a guy I don’t mind getting to either, but I prefer his price tag much more on DraftKings where he’s $1.2k cheaper than he is on FanDuel. Jordan Poole has looked much better over his last few games but still feels like he’s priced about right for his production off of the bench this season. Then Kevon Looney will continue to be a solid value center option if you need one, especially on a short slate. From the Mavs, Luka Doncic is right up there with Curry as the top raw option on the slate. I do like the matchup quite a bit as well, he’s one of the league’s top producers with a 37.9% usage rate and 1.59 fantasy points per minute. Christian Wood would be more of a tournament option due to the volatility in his minutes, but he’s great when he’s in there. Spencer Dinwiddie has come back to Earth with Doncic back as of late, so he’ll be more of a secondary option for me here as well as he fights for usage with Doncic. Then guys like Dorian Finney-Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. are fine options for tournaments, but not priorities by any means… you can make a case for Finney-Smith in cash due to the secured minutes.

5-star play: Steph Curry, Luka Doncic

4-star play: Andrew Wiggins (DraftKings), Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Spencer Dinwiddie

Deeper Value: Tim Hardaway Jr., Kevon Looney

GPP Sleeper: Jordan Poole, Kevon Looney, Christian Wood, Dorian Finney-Smith, Tim Hardaway Jr.

Los Angeles Clippers @ Portland Trail Blazers

Vegas Total: 211.0

Vegas Spread: Por -3.5

Starting with the Clippers, they’ll be without Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, John Wall, and Luke Kennard again in this one. I would expect Terance Mann and Amir Coffey to start again in this one and will look like solid mid-range and value options. Below is how this team operates with these guys off of the court this season:

The elephant in the room is the massive game Zubac had last time out dropping 76 DraftKings points on the Pacers. I wouldn’t expect 29 rebounds out of him again here and I don’t think he’s a guy I want to point chase either, he’s been extremely volatile this season. Norman Powell has looked a lot better as of late with at least 31 DraftKings points in four of his last five games and would be a guy I like going right back to in this one. From the Blazers, they’ll continue to be without Damian Lillard in this one which will set up Anfernee Simons to look like a nice option again here. He has a 30.6% usage rate and 1.02 fantasy points per minute with Dame out this season. We also know he’s going to play all the minutes he can handle. Jerami Grant has been much better over his last few games as well and would be a guy I don’t mind going back to. I think we can go back to Jusuf Nurkic as well, he has at least 42 DraftKings points in back-to-back games. Josh Hart kind of rounds out the mid-range for the Blazers, he’s going to play all the minutes he can handle and is a nice option as well. Then we can round this team out with Justise Winslow who may be the best option on the team. He’s been starting over Shaedon Sharpe as of late and has played at least 37 minutes in back-to-back games, I love going right back to him here.

5-star play: Anfernee Simons, Justise Winslow

4-star play: Terance Mann, Norman Powell, Reggie Jackson, Ivica Zubac, Jerami Grant, Josh Hart, Jusuf Nurkic

Deeper Value: Amir Coffey

GPP Sleeper: Amir Coffey, Ivica Zubac, Marcus Morris, Jusuf Nurkic
